Beautiful location, and a lovely place.
We had a very comfortable stay.
Amazing food, really friendly staff and comfortable rooms!
Spa is outdated but they are having a revamp soon
Beautiful location, sea view rooms are amazing. The restaurants also have full sea views.
Location is incredible, nice ambience, reasonable value for money.
Rooms were great but annoying extractor fan on all night.
The view is extraordinary - there is a 180 degree panoramic window that overlooks the sea - the view from the restaurant is gorgeous the sunsets at dinner are amazing - a different backdrop every night. However, the view from our room 122 was breathtaking. It's location is unrivaled. The staff are lovely - very helpful and friendly. We have been many times and will go again
The public areas have become a bit 'Shabby Chic' and breakfast is a little too 'help yourself' but I would return in a heartbeat.

The whole stay was fantastic. The staff were brilliant the location is beautiful.
I requested a non dog friendly room as my sister had allergies but the hotel promised that this would be sorted for my stay but when I got there they were able to accommodate this as they started that the owner was visiting and he would be staying in the non dog friendly rooms during our stay and when I raised this with the general manager he stated that the room that had been allocated to myself had not had dogs in it for 2 months even though I had requested a room a non dog friendly room and was promised a non dog friendly room.
I was then informed that the hotel has a central reservations team and should not have told me that they would allocate me a non dog friendly room as the owner was using this on the dates I had booked
Position of the hotel offers a fantastic outlook to see. Decor and ambience is perfect for a relaxed holiday. Staff work very hard and are very friendly
Location, good games room, beautiful views and gardens.
Cleanliness needs improving, hotel public toilets and spa need updating. Villas need better finishing (eg. Faulty light switches, kitchen extractor fan not attached to a vent) and staff could be smarter dressed
Frühstück sehr gut
Location and a good atmosphere
Bedroom tired and not totally clean which was a little disappointing. TV reception poor.
I stayed for 2 nights at the Polurrian on the Lizard. The surroundings are absolutely stunning, and the location is ideal for exploring the coast. My room had a lovely seaside view, was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was also very nice. Lizard itself is absolutely beautiful, and the locals I met on my coastal walks were wonderfully kind and welcoming. One gentleman even taught me about the local Chough (“chuff”) birds. Overall, I’m very glad I visited the area.
I didn’t feel all of the staff at the hotel were as welcoming as I would have hoped, with the exception of some members, some of the waiters, and the cleaning team, who were all lovely. Communication could be improved. I did feel there was a difference in the tone I was spoken to compared to other guests.
One example was at breakfast: a blonde waitress approached my table, simply said “Alright!” and started writing in her notepad — no greeting or “What can I get you?” as I heard her say to others. I ended up taking the lead and telling her my order just to move things along. It felt unprofessional, and perhaps unfamiliarity with how I dress played a part. I'm a visible muslim woman— but professionalism should be consistent regardless.
I also reported to the desk that my room window wouldn’t open. The receptionist was friendly and said she would report it to maintenance. In the meantime, I was told to use the fan in my room — but there wasn’t one anywhere. My room was extremely hot, and after trying for about 20 minutes, I finally managed to open the window myself, though I did hurt my finger in the process. It was either misinformation or perhaps my room simply didn’t have a fan.
I appreciate the hotel was busy due to a wedding and being fully booked in summer. However, I still noticed differences in how other customers were addressed compared to me. At check-in, I also felt a sense of surprise about my presence, which wasn’t the most welcoming start after travelling 6 hours alone. Unfortunately, by the end of my stay I didn’t feel comfortable enough to return to reception to retrieve a charger I accidentally left behind.
Nice room with sea glimpses, sat in the grounds looking out to sea! Breakfast was very good, buffet style then cooked breakfast cooked to order, so very fresh!

Excellent location, food and accommodation.
Hard to get to by driving.
We loved the location/setting, views, garden, food, helpful staff.
Some matters could have been handled in a more professional way by the staff. They seem to lack experience or training regarding level of service in a hotel restaurant.
