Safe stay in the heart of NYC
Pros:

It’s exactly what you pay for. Location is great, staff is great, other guests are great. There’s a lot of stairs but staff and other guests offered to help me with my luggage. Rooms are small but they lock with their own key. I felt safe and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but it was a nice complimentary option. Showers and toilets are cleaned often. Not the highest standard but again - it’s what you pay for. As a young woman travelling on her own, I definitely recommend this place!

Cons:

My card got charged, even though we agreed on cash payment. I had to wait a few days for the refunded payment to reach my account.

Perfect location & perfect hosts
Pros:

The staff were extra helpful & very kind.
The hotel & room was very clean.
The location was nice & quiet only a few streets from the beach.

Voor mij prima
Pros:

De locatie, en de prijs waren mijn aandachtspunten. De faciliteiten zijn "basic", maar ik kan daar mee om. Niet echt om aan te raden aan mensen die luxe gewoon zijn.

Cons:

Douchecellen zijn wel heel nauw. Weinig ruimte om kleren op te hangen. Wel proper in de morgen!

Pros:

The owner was incredibly welcoming and accommodating of my late check in time! He walked me through the amenities, my room, and even gave me a free t shirt. There was free breakfast every day, and I found the setting and the spiritual aspects to be quite comforting.

Cons:

The room itself wasn’t large, and the bed is only a twin, but I got what I paid for and I think it’s well worth it. I admire the fact that instead of using a traditional hostel style bunk bed arrangement, we each got our own little room stall which felt very private.

Pros:

Dobrá lokalita (15 min pěšky k Times Square nebo Empire State building, blízko k Hudson Yards), v přízemí je 7 Eleven s dlouhou otevírací dobou. Pokoje byly v 5. patře bez výtahu a hosté byli navzájem respektující. V pokoji byl malý větřáček. Jako solo cestovatelka jsem měla všechno co jsem potřebovala a za tu cenu na NYC poměry skvělé :)

Sprchy byly velmi malé

My stay was far better than expected and the hostel played a major part in making that happen.
Pros:

Excellent location. Generous breakfast and snacks/drinks. Calm. Courtesy. Air. Provision of towels and soaps. Allowed space to rest and think. Peace. Considerate check-in/check-out arrangements.

Cons:

Restrooms/showers clean and functional but a little restricted in space ... but what do I expect, it's a hostel in a characterful old building! :) I have known A LOT worse for more money.
