We stayed in Empire of martin only for one night, it s a great hotel with very well chosen decoration, it s very comfortable and new, the bed was so good, large bathroom italian style with parquet on the floor, mini bar.. it was an enjoyable stay, i would difinetely recommend it.
A very tiny issue in the barhroom : no presence of shampoo support.
For the breakfast it was nice but not enough i think, could be improved, we would prefer to have fresh orange juice and not industrial one, and maybe more choice for eggs and fruits.
Extremely friendly and motivated staff, hotel easy to find, very quiet, small room with adequate bathroom and perfect shower. Excellent breakfast. Tip: if you’re staying for more than 1 night and want your room cleaned, press the button outside your room to that effect. Have the hotel call for a cab to take you to the top of the castle. You’ll get there for 5 €.
In comparison to the 9 boutique hotels in the whole of Albania where we stayed, price-quality is not that good: very small room without a fridge (that’s a first!), no coffee or tea facilities. We had to ask for pillows, lacking upon check-in. Disappointing also: in the room a price menu states that water is free. On the first day we had to ask, on the second day we had to pay! Staff stated that free water only applies to 1 night: hotel policy… Also be the first for breakfast or you might wait for 30 to 45 minutes. We didn’t order a second coffee, that might also be charged. These things might see trivial but we have never seen them in any Albanian hotel so there’s a few points for improvement.
Balcon
As soon as we entered the hotel room, we were hit by a terrible smell coming from the toilet. It was really bad. We had to sleep with the balcony door open. Also, they constantly insist on cash payments. When we mentioned that we had made the reservation with a card, their attitude changed and they started causing problems. It said there was a minibar, but I think because we didn’t pay in cash, the staff deliberately gave us the worst-smelling room without a minibar.
The staff was friendly. The room was very nice with a big smart tv. The breakfast was tasty and varied with fruits. Very good coffee. The towels were also very nice and thick. We could see the castle from our room.
The WiFi was not reaching our room.

Location is close to the old town, 10-15min walk uo the hill, breakfast was great :)
Rooms are quite small, so not a lot of place where to leave your belongings

A very cool hotel. We loved our room overlooking the city, the castle and the mountains. The location at the bottom of the hill made it so easy to park and we loved walking up the cobbled streets to the old part of town and also eating at traditional restaurants near the hotel.

Very accommodating friendly staff. Genuinely concerned about our well being. Beautifully decorated. Modern. Great for a short stay. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, except for the Tangy tasting OJ. Parking right outside the hotel. Felt very safe. Location was close to the main town (newer part) and the old town/castle. Fantastic value. A true gem.
Our double room was rather tight. Was not a big deal for us. We stayed just for one night so it was manageable. Booked the cheapest double room. If room size is important, then book a bigger room.
Very clean and well equipped rooms. Great location everything is within walking distance. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was to die for. Very highly recommended

Nothing to dislike.
A wonderful hotel. It was so beautifully decorated and newly refurbished. The breakfast consisted of a sharing platter but also had sausage and omlette. It is on the outskirts of Girokaster on a quiet street. I want to come again..
