Excellent place to stay with the yummiest food, Beautiful and calm atmosphere, great safety
Pros:

I had a wonderful stay at The Barns Villas and Restaurant. The place is absolutely beautiful and very calm, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The food was really delicious, and everything we tried was full of flavor.

The service was incredible , the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. I also felt very safe during the visit, which made the experience even better.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would definitely come again. Highly recommended!

Ankommen und weiter
Pros:

Wir nutzten die Unterkunft für eine Nacht nach Ankunft in Colombo um am nächsten Tag weiterzuziehen. Zimmerausstattung und Grösse waren ok.

Cons:

Es wirkte als wurde alles etwas auf die Schnelle gereinigt.
Der organisierte Transport hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Im Nachhinein müssen wir jedoch sagen, dass er etwas überteuert war.

STRANDED WITH A BABY AT 2 AM! EXTREMELY DANGEROUS & HEARTLESS MANAGEMENT! DO NOT BOOK!

I am writing this to warn every single traveler especially families to STAY AWAY from this property because we had a traumatic nightmare experience that no one should ever face in their life. We booked this villa while in Dubai, preparing for our flight to Sri Lanka from Germany with our 6-month-old infant and everything was planned perfectly as we explicitly communicated our arrival time between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM and provided our flight details well in advance, which the management confirmed repeatedly and told us to call the numbers on the door upon arrival. However, the moment we touched down in Sri Lanka we received a cold, heartless, and disgusting message from them saying "Cancel your booking because there is no one here to receive you," which left us stranded on the street in the middle of the night with a tiny baby after a long international flight. Can you believe the absolute cruelty and zero humanity of leaving a family with an infant in a vulnerable situation at 2 AM despite knowing exactly when we were coming and having our confirmation in their system? They even had the audacity to message us back saying, "It’s OK DON'T CANCEL. YOU CAN CHECK IN at that time" at 22:09, only 1 hour and 30 minutes before we were supposed to be there. Imagine the panic and mental stress this caused us with a 6-month-old infant in an unfamiliar country. After abandoning us at 2 AM they now have the audacity to send us messages asking, "Hi why didn nt u come ? Now u have to pay extra half of the money to booking. Com. and also we were so busy and stressful for organising a person at 2 in the morning." This management is completely unreliable dishonest and a total disgrace to Sri Lankan hospitality. They clearly do not care about the safety of tourists or children and they are happy to take your booking but will shut the door on your face when you actually arrive and then demand extra money.

Très bon endroit
Pros:

Notre dernier logement avant de prendre l'avion du retour situé a 30min de l'aéroport.
Super logement très cosy.
Le personnel était hyper accueillant.
La chambre etait très confortable et très propre.
Le petit déjeuner très bien servit, bien présenté et copieux.
Il est possible de manger sur place.

Cons:

Une légère odeur de poisson qui sèche et pas mal de mouche, car le logement est situé pres du port de pêche.

Would stay again as it was only a 25min drive from the airport

Lovely pool, nice clean rooms buffet breakfast was nice with a good selection

Cons:

No fridge in the room, location was a bit out of Negombo strip so not many restaurants.

Top Lage gutes Frühstück und das Personal mega nett. Sarath war die ganze Zeit für mich da sehr netter Mitarbeiter :)

Cons:

In der Nähe gab es am Abend laute Musik aber nur paar Std hatte wohl Pech an dem Abend.

Pros:

Zum ankommen super. Der Pool war das Highlight für unsere Tochter (5 J.) v.a. da das Meer nur bedingt zum baden geeignet ist. Eigentlich geht es nur am Public beach.

Pros:

A unique relaxing place to cool down from the city life! There is a lovely pool and garden with sun beds in the shadows, the chef will cook for you everything you desire for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and it's delicious!
All the staff is very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are clean and very big. We will definitely recommend this place:)
