La toilette (🚽 ) avait deja des problèmes avant qu’on y arrive je crois donc quand on les as utilisée elle se sont bouchées ça a enlevé un peu le glamour du séjour 😅

We will stay here every time we come to Ottawa now.
Pros:

Friendly staff and lovely bar with Happy Hour cocktails we applaud. Easy walking distance to The National Arts Centre and Parliament Hill. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was excellent too

Cons:

Then cafe isn't really inviting with hard metal chairs in the lobby area. The prices were also very high for that kind of cold and off putting atmosphere.

Pros:

L'hôtel est plutôt bien situé et propose un service de voiturier. Le personne est disponible et très arrangeant.

Cons:

Le wifi payant pour avoir un débit de stream. Nous avons également eu des pigeons sur le bord de la fênetre qui était acoustiquement mal isolé, ce qui est un réveil quelques peu désagréable. La salle de sport, les tapis de course était tous les deux en panne.

Beautiful hotel but not recommended if you are looking for a quiet stay
Pros:

Beautiful property, with a very cool concept! I loved the atrium area the extended up from the first floor to the roof, the furniture, and the general style of the hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I appreciated having access to the fitness area in the hotel. The hotel was also very centrally located with great connections to key destinations by foot and transit.

Cons:

The rooms are not very soundproof. You can hear people walking and talking in the hallway as if they are inside your room. But more importantly, when people are in the atrium or cafe, you can hear the noise in your room. I stayed one night on a weekend and people were very in a very loud and celebratory mood in the atrium all night. I thought the noise would quiet down at 10pm, when the hotel closed, or maybe at 11pm but eventually had to call the front desk for ear plugs at 11:30pm because I couldn’t sleep due to the loud conversations and screaming in the atrium. I am not sure if there’s a policy in place for quiet times or if staff just were not enforcing it. Also, I am sensitive to smells and the entire property had very strong scents of perfume, to mask something that smelled a little like smoke. I don’t know if maybe the property allowed smoking in the past. It wasn’t unbearable but I prefer softer scents.

Wonderful hotel with phenomenal location
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the Metcalf hotel and I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Staff were incredibly accommodating. The environment itself is stylish and classic yet warm and inviting.

Cons:

The Metcalfe is wonderful. I wish the rooms had better air circulation.
