Had a pool. Fairly close to tourist area of town. Very basic facilities. Good breakfast. Lee was very helpful- got us train tickets and ride to station.
Came for the pool which just as the photos show and otherwise a comfy, clean family run hotel.
Just shutters on windows with no glass or mosquito nets so couldn’t open windows to see outside without risk of heat and mosquitoes
What a lovely place to stay! I was only here for 1 night. The owners of the place are so kind and help you with anything and the free breakfast was absolutely yummy! This place also has laundry service for only 25K Kip and you get it back in a few hours. I would recommend this place!
We had a good time at the little friendly house, the pool was refreshing and the best thing was the breakfast: delicious!
No glass window in the room so we had to constantly keep the shutters closed and therefore the room was quite dark.
However it didn't bother us that much.
The staff was very helpful, the place was clean and peaceful, 10 minutes walk from the night market, day trips and transfers at a reasonable price, breakfast included in the price, pool and chill areas
Lovely little place, only a few rooms here so was very quiet. Outside the madness of the city but still close enough to walk. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and comfy bed with net
There wasn’t much not to like, I would suggest updating the pool area as some of the sun loungers are broken
Friendly staff, delicious breakfasts, great pool and comfortable beds/rooms
The owner is friendly and the pool is really nice and clean. Shower was hot & fridge was good
Place is outdated and feels a bit like an asylum. There is nothing up on the walls in the rooms or in the hallways (the city is know for it's art for heaven sake) and it is in desperate need of a paint job. I know this property is cheap for Luang Prabang but it is one of the most expensive accommodations in 2 months in SE Asia and the worst stay we had.
AC barely worked, beds are super uncomfortable, lighting in the room is awful, florescent and no lamp. The woman making breakfast treated us like we were the bane of her existence. One morning the mechanic shop next door had a massive amount of smoke billowing into our accommodation and we woke up thinking the building was on fire. We were told they were cooking but it smelled absolutely toxic.
We asked to book transportation to the train station that cost as much as the train ticket. We walked up the street to book our own tuk tuk for half the price. We organized a motorbike through the hotel that was really old and falling apart. They gave it to us with an empty tank, the owner told us to put 60,000 kip in it to go to Kuang Si and gave we it back with almost a whole tank.
A little TLC would go a long way
The manager is helpful and speaks English
The pool is nice
The pool was the main reason we booked this property and that didn’t disappoint! The rooms were quite big and comfy.
The location was amazing, close to the main bit of town and the night markets but still out the way so it was peaceful and quiet.
There could be more sun beds or even chairs around the pool.
We were downstairs right next to reception and we could hear people coming in and out and talking all through the early mornings.
Again, we could hear the breakfast starting in the morning at 7am and also could smell it!
There is no glass in the windows so felt like we couldn’t open them because we didn’t want bugs coming in.
The bathroom doesn’t drain well after the shower
Most of the staff were really friendly
It was filthy - the room especially down the side of the bed and the bathroom. We had to keep the fan on to reduce the smell which was covered in dust. The hotel as a whole was also filthy including reception. The shower head was broken so you had to hold it. The room was incredibly dark with a window that opens on to an alley where they hang washing. Feel bad leaving negative feedback as the owners are nice but unfortunately it was so dirty we would not return. There are places in the area offering more for the same price.
Location (Close to night market), clean pool
The windows have no glass or mosquito nets, so you have to keep the shutters closed.
Facilities, health environment and geographical location are general but the staff is fair.
a nice swimming pool
