Embassy Suites is famous for its complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast. We loved starting our day with hot options like made-to-order omelets, fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, and fresh fruit. There was also a great selection of cereals, pastries, juices, and hot coffee. The welcoming dining area and friendly staff make the morning experience even better. It is a delicious, filling, and convenient way to fuel up before heading out to explore or attend meetings. Best of all, it is free for all registered hotel guests, adding fantastic value to your stay.
Honestly, I can't even make up things about what I didn't like about our stay or Happy hour of breakfast in the morning. Embassy Suites always comes through for us and we have become regulars on weekends every time we make the trip to visit our daughter who is attending The University of Texas at Austin.
The breakfast was awesome!
My room had a motorized noise off and on

The view and the friendly staff
Breakfast was wonderful, as always. Hats off to the chefs. Great job by everyone maintaining the dining area. Breakfast is a big reason my family loves staying at Embassy Suites in Austin, Texas every time we have business at The University of Texas at Austin.
Everything that mattered to us was met nicely. The staff at the front desk was friendly. The rooms were clean and ready. The complimentary bottled water and snacks hit the spot. Happy hour is a nice touch!
good
There are no water bottles kept in room
The room was lovely and comfortable.
There was a parking fee of $25 for a 24 hr period. I object to paying separately for parking. It should be included in the room rate. Also it was for a 24 hour period, but check in is at 4 pm and check out is at 11AM so I am paying for parking I cannot use. Also the parking had only one entrance in the evening. I didn’t expect gates to be closed so that I had to go down the freeway and back up on the service road of the freeway to access the parking lot. I was familiar with the area and guessed I could do this. It would have been more of a hassle had I been from out of town.
Nothing.
The room was filthy. Hairs in the shower, feces on the toilet seat. Yes, feces. Room not cleaned, not vacuumed. Blood stain on sheets on pull out bed. Manager not accessible all night and well into the next day despite this complaint. Never heard from anyone. Expressed this at checkout also. Room musty, mildew. Breakfast - ran out of several items early. Dropped items on the floor that staff didn't pick up or clean so I slipped on a open ketchup packet/s that were left for 1 hour (yes, one hour) on the floor and then someone put a sign on top but just clean it, so lazy. Lots of hot food was cold. Total lack of concern for the guest. Shameful.
The front desk staff. They were very polite and got us checked in quickly.
Where do I begin? Upon opening the room door, the room appeared decent. The refrigerator did not work so our food or beverages did not stay cool. The a/c did not cool the room at all. We could adjust the temp but it remained hot which led to an uncomfortable night sleep especially because there was a noise coming from the bathroom as if we were in the laundry room. The tub we thought was not cleaned but then realized it was damaged, and peeling pretty bad, the bathroom sink had cracks in it, the toilet leaked every time we flushed AND was extremely stained inside.
The breakfast was good but it was difficult to find a place to sit.
There were only 2 of 4 elevators working so there were long lines to get down and back to our room. We almost missed breakfast and were unable to bring a trolley back to our room due to the lines. My wife hurt her back helping me with the luggage.
Delicious food and choices
The staff was very friendly and each time I brought an issue or concern to them; they did their best to take care of it immediately.
The property is rundown. It’s not in a good location. It is right off the highway but it doesn’t feel like a great area. There is adequate parking; yet, they charge another $22 per car per night to park. We had to request a room change due to a consistently loud knocking sound. We were told it might be the AC unit. The property charged me for the stay even though I prepaid through Booking.com. They quickly submitted a refund once I discovered the charge, but my bank held the refund for two days so it added stress to the trip. The hot tub was not working. There was a musky smell each time the AC kicked on. The lining of the bath tub was peeling off and bubbled up all over the surface. Overall, the hotel just felt old and in need of repair. Despite that, the staff was very friendly and never pushed back when I asked for help with a room change and to get my double charge refunded.
The openness and the structure of the inside building
Everything is good. However, one of the elevators has been broken for a long time. And the entire hotel needs an upgrade in my opinion. It smells old and it looks old. However, the queen suite was comfortable and spacious. The air conditioning worked well, but the shower needs a major upgrade!!! Charging for parking is not right, because you don't expect to have to pay for parking at a hotel. You are already overpriced for that. The staff is very kind. Breakfast was super! Overall, I would rate this hotel at about a 7 or possibly an 8. Thank you.
