Apartment hotel close to Station
Pros:

Great value as we accessed an opening special. Our room accommodated our group of 2 adults and 2 teens easily, using the lounge as additional bedding. Well equipped room with washing machine / dryer. Location was good, only a short walk to Kyoto Station with easy access to the metro and buses. Well equipped with great instructions on how to use appliances.

Cons:

Would prefer 4 beds, not having to use the lounge for beds.

Very big room and last minute very affordable
Pros:

As we were very disappointed by another hotel we booked, we cancelled that one and found this one for the same price and just opposite of the street. The room was very big with two double beds. Very clean. Nice modern bathroom. Big sofa to hang out and watch some TV. Cute little kitchen and a washing machine even.

Pros:

The bathroom is spotless clean; Beds are rather comfortable. I think overall it's good value for money, to us the typical family of 4.

Cons:

The washer/dryer machine could have been placed inside a separate room so the running noise of the machine wouldn't be a problem if you were to do the overnight washing/dring cycle.

Pros:

A good value for the money and about a 10 minute walk from Kyoto Station. There were plenty of places to eat around, though no actual supermarkets which would have been nice.

The building is quite new and very clean, friendly staff, and plenty of toiletries at the front desk, including laundry detergent.

I also appreciated that they provided a Nespresso machine and free capsule refills for us during cleaning day.

Cons:

The family suite room is quite narrow, so there isn't a lot of room to walk around between the beds and the bathroom doors/walls.

This also meant there wasn't much room for every person's luggage to be stored/opened so my group of 7 had to maneuver a bit.

Also we never figured out how to turn on the vents on the bathrooms so they were on overnight and kinda annoying.
