Location, onsen
Nothing really
Right by Kyoto station, this hotel offers an onsen in the middle of the city. The staff is gracious and accommodating, those at the front desk speak English. Rooms are comfortable and reasonable for the quality.
When staff cleaned the room they kept replacing our yukata with smaller size ( we are big foreigners), other than that I cannot think of anything that wasn’t superb.
The staff were helpful and provided excellent service. Our corner twin hotel room was wonderful and roomy. The hotel is very close to the Kyoto train station and has excellent dining close by.
The beds were comfortable but the duvet was too warm (and there's no top sheet). As a result, it's impossible layer and adjust for temperature comfort. We had to lower the temperature in the room by dropping the thermostat and opening the windows to find a comfortable sleeping temperature. Open windows means you'll hear a lot of street noise.

The front counter staff were exceptionally helpful and made us feel welcome from the time we arrived.
Location is fabulous and close to the railway station.
The public bath was great and facilities kept in good condition.

The room was very nice: good size, nice beds and sitting area. And the onsen was lovely. I really enjoy the experience immensely. I have experience onsen before. And, it was nice to be able to go whenever I wanted. Onsen hours 6:30-9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.-12 a.m. We just spent one night and I went to onsen the evening we checked in and before our 7:30 departure. Highly recommend. We did not experience food options as we were there for such a short period of time. By the way, there is a vending machine on the 8th floor where the onsen is, so, milk purchase following onsen is available. There is also a microwave and vending machines with additional drinks.
Wishing we could have stayed longer.
There was some hair in the bathroom, so cleanliness was slightly off. However, not a deal breaker!
