It’s beautifully presented with huge rooms, lots of light, antique furniture, very comfortable beds, spotlessly clean. Wonderfully welcoming people, an absolutely delicious selection of food for breakfast (probably the best breakfast that I’ve ever had in a stay away)! The townhouse is attached to a restaurant and bar which is also great, but there’s a lot of privacy with a lovely little breakfast room full of light and crisp linen tablecloths, and a beautiful lounge to relax in which was so elegant and comfortable. I would happily have stayed for much longer!
Nothing. It was a lovely stay. The place was under new management (I knew the previous owners who were terrific) and I was worried that standards would have slipped but absolutely not—it was wonderful.
Breakfast and food excellent ,
The milk was gone off in bedroom ,no iron ,had to ask for one , my partnwr was told they had none , but when i asked thwy got us one , curtain in shower very dangerous ,for a large person your all tangled up in it , missed 1 breakfast but was still charged for it ,

Common areas had dirty carpets and sofas in sitting room were dirty also. So on entering the building my experience was not good

Terrible and disturbing noise during dinner caused by a party of 9 men shouting and laughing. Waitress was asked to tell them to be quiet. She would not. Other diners were angry and one couple left pretty soon. My wife spoke to one of the men as he was leaving. No apologies from him. Receptionist was approached as we were leaving the following morning - he appeared not to care and in fact walked away.
Food was good and the accommodation was clean.
Shower was difficult to operate and ran cold for the second person. TV wasn’t working as in a previous review. Stairs were poorly lit and dangerous at bottom. Bunch of keys needed for entry to each area. No lift for heavy cases.
Very welcoming hosts, clean, quiet and spacious room, bar & restaurant (wonderful meal, with a perfectly poured Guinness) are on premises, lovely breakfast was included as well
