Entire Apartment with Amazing Seaview Terrace Near Galata Tower

The apartment needs considerable improvement.. it has a small boiler that can't handle a normal shower.. there is a terrible smell of a public toilet in the apartment that I couldn't get rid of even with scented candles or chlorine. Also, the bathroom window is shared with the terrace and you risk being seen by people sitting on the terrace when you make a shower.. if you travel in winter it is extremely cold...and the portable heater couldn't cope and we also used the air conditioning The price paid is considerably high for what the apartment offers.

I would not recommend this property to anyone. First, we had to walk up 4 very steep flights of stairs with our bags and no one to help us. There is no office and only a box to retrieve the key. The building is old and the apartment in disrepair. It was extremely rundown, dusty and very poor air quality. We arrived late and were very tired but could not even stay a night. We left immediately. There is no air conditioning and the pictures online do not match the actual apartment. I could go on and on, but my advice is to please not rent this place.

There was some rubble and old furniture outside our apartment door and It seemed a little unorganised.

There was no mention in the listing (although the management kept saying there was) of how the apartment was on the top floor. You have to walk up 6 flights of long staircases to the room with no lift. The terrace is shared, which is fine, but everyone else will be up there nonstop, taking pictures, eating, partying etc ALL NIGHT LONG. For us that was about 15 people a few feet from the windows. Occasionally there would be people just inches away from the windows, talking loudly and smoking. You'll either have to keep the curtains closed, which means no view and the entire reason for the apartment or deal with a parade of people very close to you. The curtains don't fully close all the way in the bathroom, so if you shower at night, people can easily see you. There's also only flimsy folding doors to the bathroom and toilet that do not lock. There's a very small tv, but you'll just be hearing people loudly carrying on literally the entire time. They were there before 6:00 AM and still going on when we went to sleep after 2:00 AM.
