Espectativa alta, decepcionante realidad

Las instalaciones no me han parecido ni por mucho un hotel de 5 estrellas. Cogimos una suite con dos dormitorios y bueno, decepcionante. Era una habitación normal, no muy grande que tenía un hueco (literalmente) tapado con una cortina donde han metido un Cochin encajado en el hueco y q eso le han llamado habitación. Repito, un colchón encajado en un hueco cuya “puerta era una cortina.
El mantenimiento de la habitación bastante mejorable. Rodapié de la zona cocina agujereado y desencajado, el grifo del lavabo se movía para todos los lados y el mando de apertura del agua de la bañera me quedé con el en la mano. Es cierto que en cuanto nos quejamos arreglaron esas dos cosas de la zona del baño pero me sorprende mucho que no lo vieran antes cuando era más que evidente. No teníamos armarios. Solo uno de una puerta que teníamos que compartir con lata la de plancha y otro que era como de juguete. Además hacía bastante frío. Y aunque se lo dijimos nunca tuvimos una temperatura agradable. Recuerdo que en Edimburgo hace mucho frío y estábamos siempre con el jersey dentro de la habitación. Y Yael colmó de los detalles, una de mis hijas se olvidó el cargador de su ordenador en el “zulo” de la cortina, y aunque avisamos solo una hora más tarde de dejar la habitación (lo que tardamos en llegar al aeropuerto) hemos tenido que reclamarlo durante dos días (siempre llamando nosotros) y no responden. Y cuando lo hacen dice que no han visto nada. Vamos, que se lo han quedado.
En definitiva, la sensación general ha sido negativa y, con la cantidad de oferta hotelera que ofrece Edimburgo, os recomiendo sin ninguna duda que os alojéis en otro hotel.

Ultimate luxury base from which to explore Edinburgh!
Pros:

Stunning property in the heart of Edinburgh. Friendly staff, studio tastefully decorated with great facilities and an amazing view of St. Giles Cathedral from the bedroom which is just across the cobbled road. Exploring Edinburgh was effortless from this central location. Highly recommended. Worth the money!

Posizione ottima, appartamento meraviglioso, rapporto qualità prezzo ineguagliabile! Sembrava di stare in un film, eccellente! Tornerò sicuramente e lo consiglierò a tutti.

Cons:

Unica pecca, al momento della pre autorizzazione della cauzione (50£), mi è stato erroneamente riaddebitato l’intero importo della prenotazione, che avevo già provveduto a saldare tramite Booking. L’intero importo mi è stato riaccreditato dopo 5 giorni lavorativi, come mi aveva assicurato la struttura, ma credo sia comprensibile un po’ di malumore per la sottrazione di una liquidità abbastanza importante. Come detto sopra, tutto si è risolto per il meglio nell’arco di pochi giorni.
