Pros:

Antonio was a very gracious host. He was very helpful with all our travel questions. La Potranca was very comfortable and the view of the mountain and jungle was spectacular. Hearing and watching the birds every morning was a bonus.

Pros:

My Favourite place …. I got there at night so I didn’t see the area to well but when I woke up it was paradise …. A luscious jungle mountain and banana trees , passion fruits, papayas and palm trees and wild parrots flying above and the river ( rio cuale) and so much more. Antonio is professional,sweet and personable . Can’t wait to come back with my children

Not satisfied at all. Specially the fact that there was no refund available and we had booked for a month!
Pros:

Very little. I’ll admit the setting was quiet and picturesque. The owner was a very pleasant person.

Cons:

It was too far out of the way. Two single beds, no twin or double. No hot water for shower, shower water leaked into bedroom. Floor was hard to walk on with bare feet. Pool was unusable(green with algae). Communal kitchen was dark and not very clean. Stairs to rooms were hazardous.

Relaxing piece of river-front, jungle heaven close to PV
Pros:

We loved Antonio's Casa La Potranca, river front in the jungle! Antonio's newer built property has a true Mexican feel. Nice rooms, a small balcony perfect for coffee in the morning and staring at the mountains. Shared kitchen, private washroom with lots of hot water. Nicely maintained property. We enjoyed living amongst the welcoming locals. There is a bodega 2 minutes away, and it is a 10 minutes hike to the nearest restaurants, and about half an hour hike to downtown PV. The road has a sidewalk in most stretches but it has a section without sidewalk or street lights. Bring a flashlight if going out after dark. If you don't feel like walking there are lots of buses going by and it is also Uber friendly. Antonio is such an incredible owner/caretaker/host. Nicest guy, you will be impressed! We had a reservation booked with Antonio for the first week of our 3 weeks vacation and then planned to travel for our two remaining week but we missed the relaxation of Casa La Potranca so much that we returned for our last week instead - we happily traded the beach for the jungle and loved every minute of it. We will be back the next time in PV! Thank you for everything Antonio!

Cons:

If you are the condo-type dwellers this may not be the place for you, however it was everything we loved in an accommodation. Remember it is local Mexico so expect to hear some dogs barking, some roosters or loud music in the day but it is quiet at night. There is an ATV route to the jungle that goes by several times a day but it is pretty minor traffic compared to anything downtown. It doesn't take long when in PV to want to be back at Antonio's little piece of paradise at Casa La Potranca in the jungle!

An oasis by the river
Pros:

Romantic, quiet area, filled with lots of natural beauty and wild birds, the river at night sounds lovely with the doors open, very safe area

No AC, WiFi was reliant most of the time

Comfortable, restful, lovely and quiet river setting. Lots of birds and cool breezes.
Pros:

Breakfast was delicious. Owners are very kind and pleasant. They make one feel very welcome.
