Accoglienza calorosa ma camera, foto e servizi da rivedere
Pros:

La gentilezza e l’ospitalità di Anna Maria sono stati il punto forte della struttura. Dal caffe' armeno di benvenuto, all'occasione di gustare un’ottima cena in compagnia dei locali, un’esperienza davvero piacevole. Nonostante lei non parlasse inglese, abbiamo comunicato con i traduttori, ed abbiamo apprezzato molto questo sforzo. La possibilità di parcheggiare l’auto all’esterno della struttura è stata comoda.

Cons:

Definire questa struttura come “hotel” può risultare fuorviante: si tratta infatti più di una guest house/B&B, il che può generare aspettative diverse.

La camera in cui abbiamo soggiornato era molto diversa dalle foto presenti sul sito e presentava diversi problemi: era umida e non sufficientemente pulita; la moquette e i tappeti avrebbero bisogno di una pulizia profonda. Il bagno, privo di finestra, era dotato di WC, lavandino e di un semplice doccino senza tenda né box: questo rendeva inevitabile l’allagamento del pavimento, leggermente rialzato rispetto a quello della camera.

Nei dintorni, a parte una panetteria, i servizi e le attività sono piuttosto limitati, anche se per noi la struttura rappresentava solo una tappa di passaggio. Considerati questi aspetti, il rapporto qualità-prezzo ci è sembrato purtroppo poco soddisfacente.

Pros:

Nice little hotel in a residential block. The price for a room is low. Comfortable and big bed. Small TV, table and chair in the room. There is also a little shop right at the hotel.
Cool patio to hang out in front of the hotel. You can use the kitchen.

Cons:

Difficult to communicate in English.

Sanahin is pleasant, sun saturated and peaceful in winter
Pros:

Very near bus stand either from Vanadzor or local Alaverdi bus. 50 meters walk only. Anna Maria very affectionate and helping.
I could get in-house facilities like her son took me around the Monasteries and also dropped me to Sadakhlo Bagratashen Border. No Marshrutka goes from Alaverdi. I was charged what is the usual rate for taxis. Kind of him to take me to Border atc 8.30 a.m.
The weather in mid January was great and excellent walks in Sanahin village around and very peaceful bereft of people on the road. It is a perfect place for writers, painters and for those who like to ruminate on life and existence.

Cons:

Her electric radiator got very hot in the night and I had to get up to switch it off. But this is a problem only for winters.

Good value accommodation with friendly staff and beautiful surroundings
Pros:

Good value place to stay if you're exploring this beautiful corner of Armenia! Just a walking distance to most of the area's main sights and friendly staff.

Cons:
