Breakfast was good, a good selection of cold options and the cooked was cooked fresh as you arrived in the dinning room.
I didn't like the coffee it was out of a machine and not very nice and the tea was tetley if you like weak tea fine.
Quite comfortable and relaxing. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Made us feel very welcome.
Evening Restaurant menu was a little limited and not as extensive as we had seen online before our visit. For a celebration night, it was just a little disappointing. Too many options were ‘cheese based’ too.
The bed size was perfect in the family room. Very comfortable
Staff friendly and felt homely
Old pub, got character, staff helpful and polite, food great.
Room ok but the vents in bathroom need brushing and cleaning. Huge bed quite hard but just 2 pillows that looked lost and some hard old cushions not at all comfortable wife and I didn’t get much sleep wife ended up with neck ache.
Lovely grade 2 hotel, everything was fine, especially the friendly and efficient staff
Highly recommended
Nothing
A nice rural location. The pub was of a high standard with very friendly staff
Nothing
Where it was situated.
Because of the warm temperatures we had the windows open and we could hear passing vehicles through the night.
It was a convenient location . It looks nice on the outside. It was reasonably priced. It was clean. Young staff were polite and helpful..
After a 5:hour drive and before we had been given our room we had to decide what cooked items we wished to order for breakfast the following morning as they were read out by the receptionist. (And even then one of the items ordered had run out when we got down in the morning which rather made pre-ordering pointless). This needs to be reviewed and done differently.
The continental.breakfast was just cereals, toast or a croissant (which were not freshly baked ). No cheese or cold meats. Not great.
In the evening many of the items on the meal menu had run out. This, on a Friday with the weekend ahead was disappointing.
I understand the pressure on hospitality venues to control.costs and avoid wastage but this and the breakfast ordering went a bit too far.
The road was noisier than we had expected.
So the hotel.was ok without being anything special.
Lovely pub, had bar snacks and breakfast. Very comfortable and clean
Cannot fault the room, comfortable beds, although was very warm due to the heat outside - was so grateful to see a fan in room upon arrival. Food was spot on. A very good menu.
There was nothing not to like
Lovely pub with beer garden, good food, and ample parking, my room was clean and very quiet. Breakfast had plenty of choice for me, either cooked or cereals, fruit is available.
It is on a fairly main road but to be honest from my room I wasn't aware of any traffic noise and one of the beer gardens is away from the road.
Reasonably priced and comfy bed
Decent breakfast,evening food just OK
Room was small and hot
Fan provided but needs air con
Excellent staff - and brilliant veggie salad 🤩
