Pros:

Mooi authentiek hotel, goed restaurant met lekker eten en een goed ontbijt. Onze kamer was zeer ruim en comfortabel. Goed bed en goede wifi.

Well located for local walks.
Pros:

Welcoming with a nice variety of places to sit, talk, and eat. Some nice bedroom and bathroom furnishings.

Cons:

Noisy location Friday/ Saturday night. Expensive not to include breakfast or fridge in room.

we were shown into a room but had to change as we had booked a higher range room,so to have to move rooms was a little inconvenient but not a big issue and the guy delt with it very well

Beautiful newly renovated hotel
Pros:

Beautifully renovated hotel in a lovely village a short walk from Buckden towers.
The restaurant has a decent choice on the menu and the food we had lived up to our expectations, fairly priced for a 4* hotel

Cons:

The room we were given had no curtains or privacy voils , the toilet is in front of a large window overlooking the high street so every time you wanted to go to the toilet or change you have to close the shutters.
I would recommend some heavy weight blackout/ acoustic curtains in the bedroom and a voil or privacy screen over the clear glass in the bathroom
Then I would give it 10 out of 10 everything else was perfect

A very pleasant stay and ideal access to the A1(M) motorway. I would definitely stay here again.
Pros:

A beautiful period building tastefully restored. It looked like our room had just been completed to a very high standard. Off road parking was no problem and free of charge.

Cons:

The room was very warm because of the heatwave and we couldn’t really open the windows at night because our room overlooked the high street.The hotel did however supply a fan to help.

Very comfortable and I would stay here again in the same room.
Pros:

I booked on a room only basis and did not have breakfast. The staff, who were mostly young, were very helpful. The hotel has a comfortable vibe.

Cons:

My room on the second floor was relatively quiet and very nice. But the first floor rooms on a long corridor had tv noise which could be heard clearly when walking along the corridor.

Relaxing and enjoyable overnight stay
Pros:

The whole stay from check in to checking out was excellent , staff very friendly and welcoming .

Cons:

Stayed in Room 202 and think the large shower head needs replacing , wasn’t a problem as there was a secondary hand held unit .
