We stayed at Galatolia Apart Hotel for two nights and had a very positive experience.
The host was in touch from the moment our booking was confirmed and sent us detailed instructions with photos on how to find the hotel, which was very helpful.
The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to Galata Tower, with underground, ferries, trams and buses all nearby.
The host gave us a lovely room on the fourth floor with an amazing panoramic view. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was a fridge, microwave, kettle, plenty of dishes and lots of sockets.
There is also a large table, which is very convenient if you need to work.
The host kindly allowed us to stay in the room after check-out time, which was very much appreciated.
I had a very good stay at Galatolia Hotel during my trip to Istanbul.
The location is absolutely amazing honestly one of the best you could ask for. The hotel is very close to Galata Tower, very convenient for Taksim Square, and also well connected to the old city side, including the Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Bazaar. Basically, the hotel is right in the centre of everything, with excellent transport facilities, which made sightseeing very easy.
The staff were extraordinary. One staff member (I believe his name was Tufan) was especially kind, humble, calm, and very down to earth. He checked on us to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of, which made a big difference to our stay.
The room had all the necessary facilities mini fridge, microwave, tissues, and a clean washroom with hand wash and soap. We also received a free room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. Initially, we were assigned a first-floor room, but the staff upgraded us to a third-floor room with a balcony. The balcony view was stunning I could almost see all parts of Istanbul from there, which was definitely the highlight of the stay.
The only downside was the cleanliness. If the room had been a bit cleaner, especially in certain areas, it would have been perfect. I would have easily given a 10/10 if cleanliness was slightly improved.
Overall, it was a very good experience and definitely worth the money. I would recommend this hotel, especially for its location, staff, and value for money.
I booked this room for the view. It's really really great. The host was extremely friendly and tried to help in every way he could. The area, even it feels bit dangerous (the entrance is on a dark alley), it was very close to everything we wanted to see.
It was dirty, like the room wasn't even cleaned. The sheets had blood stains and cigarette holes. The pillows were extremely big and high. The sound isolation is not existent, meaning that even if we were on the 5th floor, it was like the cars were driving next to our heads. 5th floor with no elevator. A renovation is really needed.

C’était central; proche de l’arrêt métro Şişhane donc très pratique.
L’hôtel était bien/ moyen pour l’emplacement central, les transports et assez confortable (bouilloire et mini cuisine, lit, Clim, salle de bain correcte).
Je pensais avoir une ambiance calme. Cependant l’extérieur est un peu bruyant ( juste en dessous il y’a la route principale).

The airconditioner for the room wasn't working although they had central heating system, it wasn't as warmer as we expected

This accommodation exceeded my expectations! As soon as you get off the Atatürk Bridge, on the right side I found a great parking lot, with security, next to a mosque. I paid about 1300 TL for 48 hours. Right across from the parking lot is the accommodation, in a building made up only of mini apartments like studios, with kitchenettes and all the comfort you need! The entrance to the building is via an intercom code, and the entrance to the apartment is also code-based. The owner is a very serious, educated and common-sense person. I have rarely met such a person in Turkey with whom I got along from the first time! The accommodation is a few steps from the Galata Tower and many food options (for all budgets), you also have local markets nearby. The icing on the cake is the view from the apartment window (enjoying a glass of...)😀 In conclusion, if you want a place where you feel comfortable, and close to the attractions, and especially that doesn't break your budget, this is the ideal place. The owner told me that he has special friends from Romania, and that says good things about him (because we Romanians are more picky 😇)
