Won't be going back
Pros:

Decent bar area, breakfast waitress very good, decent average size plated breakfast

Cons:

Room very small, bed tiny (I'm 5'9'' and feet hanging over end of bed), bathroom tiny, nowhere to put toiletries etc, no loo roll holder.

Worst thing was car parking - had a £25 fine for being in WRONG CAR PARK even though emailed parking instructions, phone call to hotel about parking and check in receptionist never mentioned need to pass through council car park into another car park at rear of hotel. Hotel refused to reimburse the £25 or even give a voucher. Very poor customer service.

Great place to stay
Pros:

The room was clean, great location and friendly staff.

Cons:

Our room was quite small. The sink was in the bedroom. When staying previously we have had a bigger room. The size of the room did not reflect in the price.

Dissappointed
Pros:

Paid extra for a double bed, not twin beds (why?) only one bedside table/ lamp, no light at all in the kettle area. The bed sloped slightly to one side, because of the uneven floor ( small blocks could have corrected that) and the overstuffed foam pillows were like rocks.
Very narrow step up to shower, barely 5 inches wide and very small shower. Asked for table and lamp, both appeared, but the lamp had an extremely low output bulb in it, less light than a single fairy light.

Breakfast was included, but turned out to be ‘continental’ only. Mini croissants, toast, muffins in packets some fruit, but only fruit yogurt and a couple of cerials. It felt like a very poor offering.
The staircase to our 2nd floor room was extremely steep, with narrow winders at the bottom, ending with a fire door against the bottom step. Lastly, an e mail received from the hotel, instructed that they didn’t in fact own the car park and I should ‘enter your vehicle registration into the ANPR system operated by the Car Park Management Company’ it warned that if this wasn’t done correctly I may be fined. Having no idea what or were the ANPR machine was, I paid for the first day ( runs out at 8am) In fact, there was a machine in reception where I was supposed to enter my reg. Perhaps instructions explaining that would have been more helpful.

Cons:

See above
