The hosts were incredibly kind and always ready to help, which made my stay feel very warm and welcoming. The room was comfortable and well kept, and the food was absolutely delicious. You can really feel the care they put into everything. Highly recommended.

A beautiful jungle oasis, I could immediately see why it was reviewed so highly! Rooms are spacious, bed is large and comfortable. Hot water shower with good pressure (although you don't really need it). Air conditioner worked a treat. Stocked with lots of water, cold beers and soft drinks ready in the fridge. The food (breakfast and dinner) was fantastic. Lots of animals around, they have 2 dogs and a kitten on the property as well as a myriad of birds, squirrels, lizards, monkeys, etc. Place to park. The outdoor seating area is absolutely gorgeous... but the best part is Kumari who runs the lodges, she's so lovely and accommodating and showed world-class hospitality. I did a cooking class with her as well and learned so much about Sri Lankan culture. Book this place! You won't regret it!

We had a really great stay with Kumari and her family at the eco lodge. She helped us with every question and with planning activies and was always so kind and helpful! You have to take a short drive to reach the accomondation from sigiriya, but we would do it again every time because it was so calm, quiet and relaxing there and you are still close to the more touristic part of sigiriya. We loved the breakfast - Kumari even veganised it for us and it was great!
We also recommend to eat for dinner at hers, the coconut roti and vegetable kotthu were sooo good!
We planned to stay two nights but prolonged for a third one because we liked it so much:)

Kumari was an amazing host, the food was incredible and she was so welcoming, as was her family, it’s a slice of paradise that you won’t regret visiting. You are outside of Sigiriya but it’s not a problem and Kumari can help to sort out Tuktuks to go visit sites or the centre.

Kumari and her family gave us the most wonderful warm welcome on arrival. Such a joy to meet her family. Delicious juice on arrival and amazing breakfast each morning.
The Jungle lodge is so peaceful and tranquil at the end of a busy day touring. The lush gardens are immaculate and full of wildlife to view from your comfortable decking.
We experienced Kumari’s fascinating Cooking Demonstration and so enjoyed the amazingly delicious end result! Kumari is such a talented cook explaining her methods so patiently and handed down through the generations. Thoroughly recommend! Other dishes are delicious too.
The room is so comfortable and clean. Such a peaceful nights sleep in the jungle.

Very kind and helpful owner and family. The food we had here for breakfast and dinner was incredible. The lodge is located on a quiet road, but very near the Sigiriya hotspots like Lion’s rock. Would definitely come back again!

Kumštu je vynikající hostitelka. Misto je trochu odlehlé od hlavního turistického ruchu města, ale to nám vyhovovalo.. přijeli jsme až večer a trochu jsme měli strach o jidlo. Zeptali jsme se Kumaru, zda by bylo možno zajistit nějaké jidlo a ta nám velmi ochotně uvařila fantastickou večeři z domácích surovin z vlastní zahrady. Druhý večer nám opět připravila vynikající večeři, včetně vařených banánů kokosového kari, čočkového kati, kuřecího kari. Snídaně byly také vynikající a pro Evropana neznámé jídla. Určitě požádejte o kávu, která je z vlastní zahrady, nebo od maminky ze zahrady a fantasticky mango juice čerstvé vymačkaný z vlastního ovoce. Pokud chcete domácí jidlo, skvělou péči a klidné místo mimo ruch turistů, neni lepší volba. Kumaru nám ukázala i vlastní zahradu, kde pěstuje banány, mango, kávu, pepř, papáju, kokosy a další veci. Moc dekujeme Kumaru, bylo to skvěle.

L'endroit est magnifique 🤩 Un havre de paix, au calme, parfaitement entretenu, très propre, tout y est😊 les hôtes sont vraiment charmants et adorables, la cuisine est délicieuse. Leur fils nous a fait une petite visite du jardin avec toutes les explications, il était au top ! Un endroit qu'il faut absolument découvrir 🤗 Merci pour ce joli moment 💜

Tout était bien. la chambre suffisamment grande et agréable. Les petits déjeuners sont trés bon et copieux. Nous avons pris un court de cuisine, c'était authentique et super bon. Notre hote était trés sympathique et serviable, nous avons adorés.

Op een mooie rustige plek in de jungle, maar nog wel op bereisbare afstand van het dorpje.

L’accueil était incroyable la dame est ses enfants sont adorables un plaisir. Elle a tout mis en œuvre pour qu’on passe un merveilleux moment . Super cadre ,très propre,très bonne literie. Gros plus mise à disposition de boissons et petit frigo dans la chambre un gros plus vue les chaleurs. Super cuisinière les repas étaient délicieux et te copieux merci encore pour ce moment

All the amazing reviews are absolutely spot on - Kumari and her family have made a lovely garden oasis with super guest accommodation in comfortable lodges with their own verandas for relaxing outside and for meals. Kumari is an excellent cook, we thoroughly enjoyed all our breakfasts and dinners which were varied, interesting, and delightful. And yes, if you can, take the opportunity for a cookery class - not only is the end result delicious, you’ll get to see Kumari in action, and join in, in her fascinating kitchen, cooking over wood and coconut shells, seeing thick and thin coconut milks getting freshly made, and appreciating the differences in flavour and appearance by using her darker roasted curry spices versus her lighter mix. I picked up so many useful tips and the whole class was great fun from start to finish as we used traditional methods to remove surface dust from her family’s home grown rice, an amazing stool with a scraper attached to sit astride for rapid coconut grating, and even tried her impressive fixed blade cutter which she used deftly for all sorts of cutting and chopping. But it’s also the kindness and friendliness that Kumari and her family show all her guests. You can absolutely tell that it is important to them that you have a lovely time during your stay, and Kumari is astonishing, providing helpful local advice, and making any arrangements for a jeep safari, or a taxi or tuk tuk journey, with her customary quiet efficiency and beautiful smile. Very friendly hosts, clean and spacious room. Water provided (you need to pay a little bit afterwards but very fair price). Tasty and big breakfast. Also cooked dinner for us when we arrived because it was late.
Basically in the jungle so you see monkeys and some other little animals right by your doorstep.

All was perfect, for sure!
