A great home base for our first visit to Cork!
Pros:

Centrally located. Historic property. Very spacious and comfortable room. Nice restaurant on property. Fitzgerald’s Bar provided a perfect spot for a nitecap to close out each day of our stay!

Cons:

The Imperial is elegant, but shows its age a bit.

Disappointing
Pros:

The decor / night staff

Cons:

The room was musty from previous occupants as soon as you walked through the door.

In the morning, the staff initially let me stay an extra hour, then after an hour other staff began aggressively banging on the door denying they'd granted me an extra hour. A rude way to wake up. Then sneakily took 40€ off my card?

Traditionally decorated hotel with historic connections. Well placed for getting round on foot.
Pros:

The breakfast was amazing, restaurant beautifully decorated and the staff very good. Nice to have a coffee machine in the room.

Cons:

The room was a little small for the price! It would be really good to have on-site parking and the shower didnt drain very well. Bathroom a little tired.

Pros:

Room was fab
Staff great, breakfast was amazing

Cons:

Homeless men congregating outside of hotel with addiction issues sadly, which seems to be an issue locally. To be fair to the hotel, not their issue to deal with

Worth the little extra to stay somewhere that has a definite upmarket feel and welcoming staff.
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff in all areas from front desk, concierge, restaurants to bars. Excellent location close to bars, restaurants and music venues yet never felt noisy or rowdy at any point. Breakfast very good with extensive continental buffet selection and other cooked options available from menu. Considering the small price differential to other central hotels, this can’t be beaten!
