Posada La Fragua

There are no shops or cafes at all in Gandullas - it's essential you have your own transport. The check-in was completely self service via a laborious sequence of online forms to fill in that released first the front door lock, then the room door; all very impersonal and reliant on the region's slow phone signal - hardly a welcoming task to sort out while outside in the mid-afternoon heat. There is no-one around though the breakfast magically appears overnight for all rooms, even for mine that was booked without included breakfast, adding confusion as to whether it should be eaten or not..... The room had no air conditioning. There was a ceiling fan but these airless rooms really need a strong desktop fan for any proper cooling relief. The cable of the bedside lamp was too short to reach any power socket - so the bedside lamp was effectively useless without moving the entire bed (!). The stairs were steep and at night the motion sensor light didn't come on until halfway down the stairs - so first half of the stairs had to be descended in pitch darkness - not very safe!

No nos quedó muy claro lo del desayuno de cortesía. Por la noche pensábamos que no había desayuno (quiero recordar que en booking ponía que la reserva era sin desayuno) y dudábamos si los letreros en las mesas con los nombres de las habitaciones eran por si se hacía reserva de desayuno y o cena. Por la mañana vimos que había comida en la mesa asignada a la habitación y dijimos, ¡será de cortesía y si no, pues que nos lo cobren, como tiene buena pinta y no hay nada cerca vamos a desayunar aquí! Desayunamos muy bien ¡Gracias! Un mensaje previo avisando de que habrá desayuno de cortesía al día siguiente creo que mejoraría la experiencia. Pero la verdad es que todo muy bien. Gracias.

Me gustó todo. Ojo, es un pueblo-pueblo. Si nunca has estado en ninguno, acostúmbrate a preguntar si tu coche molesta antes de aparcarlo.

Que el bar solo estuviera abierto hasta las 16h. No tiene nevera en la habitación.

Le petit-déjeuner

Personally I found it very strange not to have anyone in the hiatal and prefer to have a staff present to be there’s someone to ask questions or advice. My biggest disappointment was there wasn’t a restaurant when it said there was in the hostel facilities details.

Todo bien

Que no hubiera una persona directamente en una recepción para poder hablar con ella. Sin embargo sí que tuvimos trato telefónicamente, cosa que fue un acierto

No encontramos a ninguna persona en la pensión que nos pudiera atender en el momento de nuestra llegada.
Tras hacer varias llamadas, nos solucionaron el check -in que se tuvo que hacer manualmente con el móvil.
Las personas que vinieron en nuestra ayuda eso sí, fueron muy amables y nos ayudaron sin ningún problema.
