Convenient stay in a good location
Pros:

I had a comfortable stay at De Quinton. The bed was comfy and the air conditioning was perfect for the hot weather. It's located next to a number of restaurants and good food places in Ipoh, so it's convenient to find a place to eat and explore. It's a short walk (15 minutes) to the more touristy parts on the opposite side of the river, but I didn't find this too bad of a walk, even in the hot weather.

Cons:

Would have been nice to have a fridge in the room

Great Budget Hotel
Pros:

Loved this accommodation! The two receptionists were very friendly and always greeted us every time we ran into them. Our room was tidy, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. There were a lot of restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel within walking distance so you did not have to go far to grab a bite or to get some snacks, water, toiletries, etc. The area where the hotel is at is generally rather walk-able. Popular Ipoh streets like Concubine Lane and Market St were also not too far, only a 15 minute walk if you don't mind the heat. At night, there's a night market that pops up around the corner selling the usual night market stuff (knock-off jerseys, bags, shoes, etc.). Overall, highly recommend this hotel!

Cons:

The room was on the small side, but you get what you pay for so I can't complain too much. The hotel's WiFi can be slow, but I don't think it's 100% the hotel's fault though since everywhere we went in Ipoh, the WiFi & the mobile data service were quite poor.

Lousy dirty room
Pros:

Only the location & pub face the sea view

Cons:

My car parking inside but there lock the gate when morning check out I cannot moving my car, without any notice what the fxxk

Pros:

Excellent location and nice room , comfortable bed . Friendly and accommodating staff who let us keep our luggage in storage in the hotel for 10 hours while we went to Cameron Highlands.

Great stay in Ipoh!
Pros:

You can walk to the heritage area. Around the hotel there are many great restaurants. Free parking is in front of hotel, on first come first serve basis, we got a spot there luckily. Ipoh is great city to stay in.

Cons:

Nothing. I liked everything.

It’s a pleasant stay
Pros:

Decent stay, very friendly and helpful staffs. Looks new and feel comfortable. Surrounded by popular eats.

Cons:

Got bitten by bed bug in the middle of the night. Mattresses need proper cleaning. See attached photo for reference.

Great stay at De Quinton Hotel
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff is super friendly, they let us store our laguagge in the loby after our check out and they were always smiling and ready to help us with anything. The location is amazing, right in the city center. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable.
