Pros:

We arrived an hour earlier than the check in time but the polite receptionist in the hotel managed to check in for us. Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. The bed is also comfortable. All staff were friendly and welcoming.

The staff is everything, so friendly and they help us alot.
Pros:

Good starting point for trekkings

Cons:

We had a very disappointing experience. We arrived early after a night train, tired, and were given a different (worse) room than the one we had booked. The receptionist said it was because we booked the day before (?) .We asked if we could pay the price corresponding to the cheaper room we were given instead, but he refused. He then said he could offer free early check-in (even though the room was already available) and promised an upgrade the next day.
However, after we paid, he told us we would not be able to change rooms at all. We asked for a refund, which he also refused. After a long discussion, we tried to contact his manager, but got no response.
Finally, latter this day, they agreed to upgrade us the day after, but the manager never replied to any of our messages. I also got cut by a nail sticking out of a chair, which is unacceptable, and again there was no response when we reported it.
The room does not really match the great photos shared.
In the photos you could think that the hotel in isolated in the middle of nowhere but is not at all the case, you're in the middle of Ta Van and the street is pretty loud.
