Pros:

Pros:

Das verkehrsmäßig gut angebundene Hotel in Zentraler Lage.
Das Haus wirkt schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.
Unser Zimmer war sauber und die Betten sind bequem.
Dafür ist das Essen im Restaurant sehr gut, die Bedienung freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Cons:

Der dunkle Anstrich unseres Zimmers wirkte bedrückend.
Ich war nur auf der Durchreise. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt würde ich jedoch ein anders Hotel nehmen.

Not very -lush but functional and a traditional valleys pub excellent enjoyed it all

Comfortable with friendly staff and good value for money
Pros:

We were going to a birthday party about 5 minutes walk away from where we were staying so that was great. The hotel/pub was by the river which was lovely but by the road which was not a bother as it was quiet at night.
The room was comfortable and had all you need for a nights stay.
We didn’t stay for food but the friends we were visiting said the food was very good and the bar is great for a quiet drink.

Cons:

The only criticism is that the hotel is slightly shabby and could maybe have a slight refurbishment.
There was no hairdryer but that was not a problem for me. However the hotel is in a pretty old mining town in South Wales which is more important.

Good value if you just need a bed for the night
Pros:

It was good value and the member of staff at the bar when I arrived was lovely. Friendly and welcoming!

Cons:

It’s very tired and desperately needs a bit of care and attention. It’s noisy by the road. One of the pillowcases was ripped and there were no pillow protectors so I assume people just sleep on the pillow as the case falls off and the pillow isn’t washed. It’s very cheap so you can let quite a bit slide for the price, but some things just felt like a lack of care and attention. It was fine for a few nights on my own but it was very basic!

The staff were excellent couldn't do enough for us very welcoming.

Cons:

The bathroom could have been redone a bit more modern and the bed was a bit too springy dick was a bit dated and broken blinds and windows could have been cleaned.

Good value for money, friendly staff.
Pros:

Breakfast was very nice, could up grade the sausages to make it really good. Staff friendly. Menu in the evening extensive and good value, food was great.

Cons:

Car park small and tight, I got the last space when I got there and had to manoeuvre into the space. One of the reasons I booked was onsite parking. Minor detail, you couldn't fill the kettle up from the sink tap as not enough space.
