The place has a beautiful aesthetic – modern elements blend seamlessly with traditional Nepali details. You can really feel the personal touch of the owner in everything, from the handmade decorations to small details like fresh plants on the kitchen table being changed every day. Everything was spotless, fragrant, and full of care.

The owner herself is incredibly kind and helpful – she guided us through everything we needed and made us feel at home.
Especially during Nepali protest, she was very supportive, gave us information, news, she came to pick us up from the bus stop and was very responsive. We felt very safe!

Included breakfast was very good and kitchen there is amazing and affordable.

If you are hesitating because the accommodation is a bit outside the city center, don’t let that stop you. Using the InDrive app, getting there and back was super easy and comfortable, and each ride only cost a few euros. Absolutely worth it.

I think is one of those underrated places. Situated 15 min away from Thamel. This property is a calm with beautiful trees, with beautiful outdoor seating space, tree house and space to do yoga if you are interested.

The property has elements of Tibetan heritage woven into it right from beautiful doors and decor. The rooms were neat, tidy, very very well maintained and amazing washroom.

You will find some of best staff who were always smiling and kind. Thanks to Yangchen , Pema , Tenzin, Phurbhu and Siva (who answered our late night calls) . The owner Tenzin was super kind and gracious enough to show her beautiful kitchen garden and trees she planted and offered her fruits. She was always promptly checking with us if needed any help in finding the property while checking out.

Lastly the breakfast and food at hotel restaurant was possibly some of best I had during my days here Kathmandu it was that amazing (it was freshly made and delicious). I would recommend to every traveller who is passing by Kathmandu, or want to relax after exhausting trek to stay here. I felt as happy soul here and if anyone who reading this should give themselves

Een leuke sfeer in dit hotel. Tenzin, de eigenaresse is bescheiden en heel attent. Het is een eindje buiten de stad, daardoor lekker rustig. De lucht is er ook schoner. Het toerist busstation is juist wel dichtbij.

Very warm welcoming staff, homely atmosphere. Excellent cleanliness.

Ein kleines Juwel am Stadtrand von Kathmandu, in einem ruhigen Viertel am Bergrand, ein kleines Hotel, ausgestattet mit sicherem Blick für schöne Details, mit herzlichem Personal und schön eingerichteten Zimmern. Das Frühstück deckt die verschiedensten internationalen Wünsche ab, der Kaffee ist außergewöhnlich, dem Gast wird jeder Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen.

The space is a dream — highly aesthetic, clean, new, every detail consciously and lovingly coordinated. The owners Tenzin and Lobsang take the best care of each guest from arrival to departure. The staff in the restaurant are also so kind and attentive.

Kathmandu is high magic in itself … Uma Residence and Suites takes it to a new level. The property is at the foot of Triten Norbutse Monastery, so in addition to the gorgeous view of the temple, you feel the vibration of the monks meditating and praying. ❤️

World class boutique hotel on the outskirts of Kathmandu.

It was truly a pleasant surprise to find property like Uma in the outskirts of Kathmandu

It's a cozy, quiet and beautiful boutique hotel. The owner is super nice and always offer helps when needed. I especially like the beautiful gardens, which makes the outdoor meals are so enjoyable. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again next time visiting Kathmandu.

Everything! This place is perfect to stay at, close to everything, helpful staff, amazing food and a nice calm place in contrast to all the other things you will also experience in more busy Kathmandu.

Such a nice oasis close to all the city things of Thamel and so, and the people are super helpful to arrange transport and so!

It was like staying in a little oasis on the outskirts of Kathmandu. Still surrounded by nature while close to amenities.
Loved the traditional feel of each area and rooms with a modern touch.
The food was fresh and organic, really tasty and cooked to perfection 👌
The staff were so friendly and the family who own and run it couldn't do enough for us, very accommodating and even went out of their way to help my husband after he hurt his ankle.
We were picked up and dropped at the airport.
I would highly recommend staying here, I would stay here again.
