Fijne kamer, erg schoon, mooi zwembad!
Communiceren met eigenaar ging lastig, maar wel erg lieve mensen.
First off we would like to reply to the previous review from Georgia from Belgium. We were witness to her disrespectful behaviour. When the tour guide arrived to collect her and partner she was still having breakfast and in her pyjamas. She tried to argue the time they were to be picked up but as we were doing the same tour the time was clearly correct. She went upstairs to get ready and was in no hurry whatsoever and disregarded the fact that the guide had others to pick up. We felt for the guide as he was by then letting others down but this young woman didnt give a hoot. We learnt later that they cancelled the tour because the guide was too rude…you have to be joking, she was the rude one. We went on the tour and the guide was amazing and the tour was one of the best weve ever done, well worth it. Regarding the construction noise, that was completely put of the hotel’s control. This is Vietnam, not Europe and maybe Asia isnt where she should be.
This woman embarassed us as foreigners in Vietnam. Disregard her post.

It was all good
The position is central. Although very difficult to understand where the hotel is since it is quite hidden and in an almost destroyed secondary street.
Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing.
The property is old, poorly maintained, and not clean. The atmosphere feels neglected, and unfortunately the staff were unfriendly and very unprofessional throughout our stay.
We also had a very unpleasant experience regarding the motorbike rental. The price was clearly listed as $4 per day, yet at checkout we were suddenly told it was $6 per day. When we pointed out the price list, the staff member literally changed the price in front of our eyes. This gave us the very uncomfortable feeling that they were trying to take advantage of us.
Breakfast was also very poor and far below what one would reasonably expect.
On our last morning, we were woken up at 6:40 AM by extremely loud construction noises—drilling, hammering, and heavy work sounds. It was impossible to sleep and made for a very unpleasant end to the stay.
The hotel also organizes tours to visit the bay. We strongly recommend avoiding these tours. The staff running them were rude and disrespectful. At one point, the guide literally told me: “You shut up and do not complain about the program.” This level of disrespect towards guests is simply unacceptable.
Fortunately, we only stayed two nights. I would absolutely not recommend this place.

Very nice location in a quiet alley and i could check in very early at 7am after arriving, the family working at the hostel was nice

We liked this place a lot even though we spend there only one night. The room was big, clean and nice. The bathroom was also very big and clean.
It was quiet and comfy.
Great value for money.
There is very low pressure in the shower, but nothing else I can complain about.
We booked a tour with the staff, which was great, and a bus to Ninh Binh. They also provided breakfast, that was simple but satisfactory. They offered us more blankets as the nights were cold when we were staying.
There wasn’t always someone at the reception so we had to sometimes go back few times to be able to speak to someone.
