Beautiful location although it is recommended having your own vehicle if you would like to explore the area and visit places. But you can also plan to stay there and enjoy the place. I would definitely go back!
I thought the price of the dinner was a little too high.
This review is for Americans and what to expect. If you’re looking for an absolute remote beach, where you may be the only person for as far as you can see, this is the place. Turtle nest every morning, whales on the horizon, it’s spectacular. But it’s very remote. The restaurant onsite has very traditional, country meals (and ice cold beer) which were delicious. It’s not a resort, it’s more like staying at a family beach house. The owners treat you like a family friend and the staff is wonderful. Just know that if this is the experience you are looking for, Casa Obe can’t be beat!
Super Clean, incredible friendly hosts!
Splendid isolation - if you like peace and quiet - this is paradise! 20-25 mins to nearest town. Access is via a dirt road (but easily passable by a taxi - people in other reviews stating you need a 4X4 are wrong!) Beautiful local wildlife - in our short time there we saw dolphins, crocodiles, hawks, vultures, pink flamingos to name a few. Lovely family run bed and breakfast who were so helpful and supportive when my wife needed an emergency dentist. Great breakfast! Beds very comfy. Effective AC/fan in our room. Will definitely come again next time we’re in Huatulco!
Nothing!
The host family was warm, welcoming and inclusive. They shared stories, mezcal, chapolines, and other traditional Oaxacan flavors. The beach, which we had to ourselves most times, had dramatic, thunderous, rolling waves. The property sits right on the beach and is set up with a variety of places to hang out and watch the ocean in comfort. Our faves were the beach hammocks and the infinity pool with built in seating. There is a super cute chapel on a little hill next door.
The hostess was a great cook, but most meals were made by the guest house's one housekeeper, who wasn't a great cook. The restaurant next door though is good - particularly the ceviche. The road to get to the property was a challenge, but doable even in our tiny rental car.
The staff are wonderful! I have never felt more welcomed. They are in a very special location on Zapotengo beach that they have chosen to create a very unique and enjoyable experience. The remoteness of the site makes for a very peaceful and restful stay. Facilities are clean and well thought out. They lack for nothing. I would like to keep this place a secret for myself but everyone who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing beach experience must give Casa Obe a try. Juan Carlo and Valentina are most warm and welcoming and were a complete pleasure to stay with. We are already missing our time there
Very tranquil and calm. Gorgeous views and sunsets. Wide beach. Friendly hosts.
The hotel was 'cabin-esque' and quite comfortable. The view and grounds were spectacular. The hosts, Juan Carlos and Valentina were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They all truly make you feel at home.
The hot water was out during our stay, so cold showers were had. Not too big of an issue, as the weather was so warm.
The staff was like staying with family and the food was incredible and brought to us daily at our room. The beach is incredible and only accessible to the guests and local community. There’s turtles and crocodiles and swimming spots and a pool. An incredibly intimate and relaxing spot. The warmth of hospitality and welcoming nature were well received. We will be back:)
Located on the beach, fantastic family run hotel with vast ocean views. This is a very remote beach, within a small village community.
peaceful, food, comfy beds and wifi.
needs a bit of up keep
Most amazing spot you shouldn’t tell everyone about, the location is secluded but worth it if you seek a good quiet time at the beach with brilliant food and excellent service, no matter where you want to sit or what you think of, your needs will be taken care of
Be prepared to organize yourself, taxis are not around the corner but eventually everything works out
The unique location, in Casa Obe you’re pampered by a lovely staff while enjoying your own private, wild, breathtaking beach
nothing to note
This is the Paradise in the Paradise...you can feel and see all the love they put in the house and you feel like home.
Great location, right on the beach. Wonderfull family that are great hosts, from pick up from the airport to serving dinner and drinks throughout the day. My breakfast was even served on the balcony. Perfect location to relax and enjoy the nature.
