It satisfied our needs we expected from an accommodation
The room equipment was older and felt that way. The mattress was hard and felt like an old spring type. There is an AC unit in the room, but there was no remote to turn it on during our stay.
Location was perfect, close by to lots of cool places and well articulated with public transport.
The room wasn't properly clean, there where previous guests trash and items behind the furniture, the floor was dusty, things felt a bit old.
- one of the receptionists was really very helpful
- size of the room/beds (one bed was comfortable even for two people so basically we had place for 4 persons)
- lot of bathroom mats for use
- bathroom towels were in a size of a bathroom mat
- room cleaning service only on written demand
- very limited non-Korean breakfast for European guests (and twice we had to ask extra for it, we appreciate the proactivity of the kitchen staff though)
- coffee from the machine only for extra fee, free of a charge coffee was 3in1 coffee packet (so not coffee then, more like cocoa)
- we couldn´t get rid of the feeling that Pearl Hotel Jeju has a successful history but something went wrong and now it´s just a shadow of its previous glory
The breakfast was amazing - very authentic Korean food and lots of it!
Very outdated and run down, no shower curtain. I felt like I was in 3rd world country.
Location was great to go to bars, restaurants, spas, etc. Staff helped us book taxis and the location was quiet enough. Our room has its own AC which was powerful. Overall what I expected for the price.
I found the bed uncomfortable though did somewhat solve it using the many blankets provided in the closet to lay on as a makeshift topper. Worst though my wife found a cockroach in the bathroom of our room. The breakfast advertised as "American" meant buffet style, not the staples actually advertised. Not a big deal as it was an optional extra but go elsewhere if you want eggs and such for breakfast so to be more food adventurous with your dinners.
Old property with limited services. Good for budget travellers.
You can not bring outside food into the hotel so be aware of that
