Perfect quiet spot in the middle of Udon Thani

Pros:

Very nice hotel by the lake in Udon Thani, great staff on arrival very helpful, reasonable for choice, the hotel is pet friendly and the staff showed this. The room on the ground floor was great for us and our Pom, the bed was very comfortable and the room looked out over a courtyard where there was the Brown Chefs cafe, where the food was tasty and served with a smile. Cannot fault the staff who went out of their way to please. Will stay again on our monthly shopping trip to Udon

Lage etwas abseits, dafür sehr ruhig. Zimmer gut, das Bett ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber für ein Isan-Hotel sehr gut. Frühstück, alles da was man braucht, sehr gut, westlich, Thai- und Isan-Food

This is a local Isaan Hotel,, but very overrated
Pros:

location is nice, its located at a lake. However, there is 7 day a week construction going on further down, with constant noise. Cant swim in lake, it is polluted.
Beds are okay, rooms are basic and small, Air-con is old and makes hell of a noise.
What we did like was the cleaning staff , who were very nice and accommodating.

Cons:

Breakfast is too simple and not much choice, not worth to call it Breakfast. In addition breakfast is scheduled till 10.30, however some times they decide to close at 10.00! no food available.
Management is far from friendly, and not really interested in questions and staff ( mostly teenagers or early 20"s don't speak English, while they have many foreigners. I would not stay here again, no value for money . Majority of clients are Thai, and Hotel mostly caters to the locals, its more a homestay than a Hotel.
