Golden Sea Hotel

The service are very good, the staff are very friendly and conscientious. The views is very beautiful ( sea ). But a really big problem is cockroaches. They are everywhere. And one more downside is that the food is not diversified.

Wifi was f**king slow in the room.
I did work everynight at lobby.

I didn’t like they ask to keep my passport at the front desk.

This is a gem within walking distance of the beach. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. My room was spacious and clean. The air conditioning worked very well. The wifi is good and fast. The breakfast buffet is good, but it is based on occupancy of the hotel. If there are a lot of people, you will have a lot of food. One morning the choices were limited because many guests had left. I highly recommend this place and I look forward to my next visit.

we had a family room, it was so big and spacious, so value for money. the hotel located right on one of the main streets connecting the beach area to the town. 10 mins walk to the beach and 15 mins to city where you could enjoy night life across the river banks.

This property is fairly new however it is not being very well maintained so you will find a fair bit of dirt and general lack of cleanliness. The room itself, called VIP, was spacious and clean enough but the bed was poor as were the pillows. As well the window did not close properly and so the very noisy streets below were a regular part of our stay in our room. The staff was helpful at times but not at others so overall not a place to stay if you are looking for a lot of support for information and tours and so on. Well located to access some excellent restaurants and obviously very near the beach. So if that is your main interest and you don't care a lot about professional service or a high standard of maintenance this may be the right budget hotel for you.

We were able to negotiate a good price for a large corner room with great views. Walking distance to the ocean, restaurants and bars . Hotel restaurant is no the top floor and has good food with a breakfast buffet.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 days and overall it was a great experience! The employees were hospitable to me and tried to help me out anytime I had any questions. The room was big and spacious especially for how affordable the hotel rates are. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would come back here again!

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was big but smelly. The toilet smells everytime you flush. The breakfast was horrible with no taste at all. Just ate bread only. The restaurant looks like empty room with few tables and chairs. Food was laid on tables which already cold by the time you eat it. We saw only one staff at lobby who is on her own world. No smile or greetings. Not recommended.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights arranged by Asiana Travel. Let me state first the positive points:
1. It has an impressive lobby - spacious with good furnitures.
2. Spacious and clean room and toilet with bath tub.
3. Location is just a walking distance to the beach.

And here the negative points:
1. There is a bad smell coming out from the toilet.
2. This is the first hotel i stayed where the reception counter was left unattended - not even 1 staff was around at the counter or lobby when we came back from our tour.
3. Receptionists are unfriendly - they did not even bothered to greet the guests or smile.
4. This is also the first hotel i stayed where the receptionists and restaurant staff were wearing normal slippers only.
5. Breakfast was horrible - all tasteless vietnamese foods. So we only had bread & steamed sweet potato.
6. Restaurant staff were unattentive at all - did not even bother to approach guests, ended for the breakfast coupon not collected. (so what's the use of issuing the coupon?)
7. The restaurant looks more like just a hall than a restaurant or cafe, and it was messy & untidy.
8. Our 1st day shocked us when we were about to go out for dinner and the entire aisle at 4th floor was in darkness so we had to use the light from my mobile phone. Then when we informed the reception, the staff simply replied...."i will ask to switch on now".

And so my feedback... will not return to stay in this hotel and neither will recommend to others.

Golden Sea Hotel is an average 3 star style hotel with good breakfast daily. The location is good location to enjoy both down town and China Sea public beach. They offer rental of motor bikes daily use. They also offer long stay term rates.

Location and room were okay. Front desk service was unpleasant. I booked at last minute. Clerk said sale staff was off due to holiday so couldn't check online system for my booking, ask asked repeatedly how much I paid Expedia for the room. I insisted on getting a room because I had paid. Clerk called sale staff then handed me the phone. Sale staff asked repeatedly how much I paid Expedia. After I said $35, sale staff said no standard room available, and I would need to be upgraded to a VIP room for an additional charge of $15! I said I was not happy. Sale staff said it was a discount. I didn't want to argue anymore and agreed to pay another $15 to end the negotiation. Clerks were pushy and not honest (people were off, system was closed due to holiday). It was 2PM on Sat. April 16, 2016.

From the outside it appeared to be more impressive but like other reviewers have mentioned, it is tired.

The room is spacious and the cable has quite a few English speaking channels. The decor was dated however and the rooms were 'musty'.

Breakfast offered quite a few options and the staff both in the restaurant and at the front desk were (for the most part) extremely helpful and pleasant.

Myself and my husband ended up moving to another hotel as the bathroom had a very bad smell when we flushed the toilets or even used the sink. As well as that lingering musty smell that proved to be too much.

Golden sea is hotel 3*.
The hotel environment and the food was good. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. If you want a place to work and have a business trip, this is one of the best for sure.

Large and clean room, strong wifi. Not many choices for buffet breakfast but i think food is fresh and quite delicious . I stayed in October so the price is cheap. The location is a bit far from beach. But i think it's ok for a short trip or business trip.

Room excellent size, but hotel seemed to lack sparkle, location good to access beach and city by moped. Breakfast not good if you don't eat Vietnamese, although there was bread and a toaster. Housekeeping also pestered us to clean room early, when we were still in it!!!!!!!! Not a bad price but wouldnt stay again.......

Pro: The room is spacious and quite decent with good location in Danang (close to the beach). Friendly staff.

Con: Dirty towels, the bathroom deserves some maintenance. This is the first time in my life that I saw a cockroach in a hotel room, on the sink, waving its antenna at me. Took the housekeeper more than 5 minutes to the room before she could chase it out and spray it to death.

Stayed at this hotel with family due to recommendation from a friend. Things were going okay until we went back to the hotel after a day at the beach on our second afternoon there and found ALL of our belongings at the front desk. Upon questioning, the staff informed us that we had booked 2 nights only. We argued that this was a mistake because we booked 3 days! This miscommunication and confusion aside, the staff was completely rude about it! My parents speak Vietnamese thankfully and said that instead of apologizing, the lady stated "you have too many things." Furthermore, the girls at the front desk smirked and laughed as we went through all of our things making sure our valuables (money, passport, etc.) were accounted for. Being from America, I understand that I grew up used to certain customer service and standards but this should be common courtesy and knowledge! I am warning ALL travelers... do NOT stay at this hotel. You will be treated poorly and your belongings are at risk!

Stayed here 3 nights in December 2012. Good location, ok area, close to the sea.
On arrival I was taken to a room without external window - was told this was 'standard' room. Paid 70.- for 3 nights/1 person. The room was damp and dark. Had to pay to 'upgrade' to a room with window. Spacious and nice room.
Reception service was the worst I've ever had (I travel quite a lot - different parts of the world).
Her English was worse than my grandchildren's (7 & 8 -just started to learn English). Asked for a grocery shop (to buy water ..) and was directed to the beach.
Ask for public bus to Hoi An and Hue. Was told it wasn't possible. Had to take a private car for an insane price. Asked which route the driver would take - she couldn't answer. Said the driver didn't know English, so I would need to take her with me as guide - she hardly knew English - so wouldn't help much. Decided to drop it.
Upon walking into the city of Da Nang the next day it appeared there were an express bus leaving for Hoi An (also for Hue), which was a fraction of the price. On my return, I boarded a local bus, which was quite alright and cost next to nothing. Don't like people who deliberately lies to me, so for this reason I would never go back.

Good points: Location - on Pham Van Dong street which is jst minutes away from the beach and the city. The room was spacious as well as the bed. Everything was clean and tidy. There are motorbikes for 150,000vnd/24 hours.
Bad points: The staff especially the receptionists were far from friendly. It seemed like they didn't like to talk and smile much to guests.
