Vintage Attic Hotel of Chongqing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Service was exceptional and personalised and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were warm and friendly and even accommodated us by doing our laundry. The hotel ensured there was good communication and we loved the modern style of the room with quality amenities.

Very beautiful room and exceptionally clean. Rose was the best host and was extremely helpful in every way. She always went above and beyond to help us and even picked us up from down the road when we got lost and couldn't find the hotel. Could not recommend this place more!

The best decision I made during my entire trip. The property is spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The interior design creates a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere, and the room is thoughtfully stocked with practical items for travelers’ everyday needs. The staff are incredibly helpful and understanding, adding a warm and welcoming touch to my stay. This place gave me the most impressive and lasting memory of Chongqing. I’ll definitely choose it again on my next visit.

It is in the center of everything. Within the walking distance, you can reach the JieFang Bei, HongYaDong, 18 stairs. The facility is nice. We had the loft that can host up to 4 people. The bath room is modern and clean. The king size bed is super comfy. The best part is you can make the room so dark for a nap.

The hotel’s bed is the best with super comfortable bedding! The staff is super friendly and helpful!

This gorgeous hotel was my favourite from my entire trip through China. The owner is exceptionally kind and even gave excellent recommendations for local food. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully designed. Everything was incredibly comfortable and every little detail (free tea, snacks etc) just added to the overall cosy feeling. The bathtub helped me relax after a long day exploring the city. It’s a very convenient location for exploring Chongqing, just a 2-minute walk for a taxi or a bit longer for the metro.

Very friendly and excellent service

Beautiful room, attentive staff, great location. Loft style room with bed and bath upstairs, with toilet room and living room on lower level. Many shops and restaurants nearby, yet located in a quiet area off the main street. A great view which included a little of the Yangtze river. Excellent coffee provided complementary in the lobby. Highly recommended!

I’m not usually the kind of person who writes reviews, but this time I felt I had to — and this one comes straight from the heart.

First of all, the hotel has a perfect location and offers a great balance between price and quality. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-designed — ideal if you’re traveling with friends but still want some privacy, thanks to the two separate floors in the room layout.

But the true gem of this hotel is the staff — especially the owner. She was incredibly kind and welcoming. We honestly felt like we were visiting a distant aunt who was there for us no matter what. A genuinely warm-hearted person, always ready to help with directions, solve any issue, and make sure you feel at home in the city.

Yes, it’s listed as a 2-star hotel — probably because it’s small — but I would add two more stars just for the hospitality and care alone.

The breakfast was also authentic and really enjoyable!

We stayed in several 5-star hotels during our trip around southern China, including Chongqing and Chengdu — and while those were nice, if you’re looking for an authentic, family-style experience full of warmth and human connection, this is the place to go.
From the thoughtful recommendations to the personal attention — everything was simply perfect.
