Location, good toiletries
Noisy, a bit scruffy pictures definitely flatter it
Beautiful building next to rail station, spacious rooms, helpful staff.
Rattling windows at night.
Drinking Water in bedroom
Excellent room, comfortable bed, friendly and reactive staff. Parking on site. Town very close. Quiet room.
Staff were friendly and made us feel very special
Rooms were clean and stylish, modern without losing the feel of the hotel
No air con and noise levels at night
Lovely rooms with comfortable beds and nice big bathrooms.
Beautifully clean.
Really friendly staff.
Great breakfast, served promptly.
The windows don’t open properly - not good when there’s no air con.
We were woken before 6 a.m. by the unloading of a beer barrels in front of the station. This went on very noisily for over an hour. Not sure how often this happens.
Central location. Great cooked breakfast, service was excellent from Josh. Hotel room was very clean and comfortable.
Nothing I didn’t like
Quite classy
We loved the paintings on the first floor
Who did them ..?
Can you let us know?
No air conditioning but not a massive problem
Location.bar and restaurant area were very pleasant and staff were helpful and friendly
Stairs were dirty
Fan in room inadequate
No fan in public areas
No tissues or drawers in bedroom. Only one bin and was not in bathroom
Only one hand towel for two people
Only one toilet roll
Room extremely hot and airless-unbeatable in the heat.Hotel managers should have provided more and better fans
TV did not get News or World Cup football because App was not working-we presume management had not renewed subscription so unable to watch normal terrestrial tv in our hot stuffy room
Breakfast very poor quality with food bought from cash’’ carry or that’s how it felt ; not cooked properly-hash browns not cooked, croissant hard, mushroom swimming in grease, horrible cheap sausage, baked beans flavoured with some kind of vinegar, only one very weak tea bag in pot of tea which was too weak and grey to drink, milk had bits in it-£33 for an inedible breakfast
Clearly not cooked by a chef but just a ‘local’ non-professional serving with cutlery arriving. Separate from food and the almost thrown into table-knife handed with blade pointing to customer instead of handle. Clearly no training in hospitality skills and lets down the 3* notation of the hotel-very unprofessional
The Hotel was a nice compact establishment that has everything one needed. The weather was so nice and added to the harmony of the Hotel's central location and just a few feet from the train station. Ideal for tourists visiting the Cotswalds.
TV was complicated to manage. However weather was hardly condussive to watching TV in ones room.
Great ambiance, service and comfy bed with nice bedding I a convenient location
The kitchen fans were left on through the night for 1st 2 nights which was noisy, but I hen we were in a budget room close by. 3rd night was better when they were off
The room was quiet. Bed was comfortable. Nice bed linen
Tacky decor. Dirty main staircase. Bedroom had a strange smell. Fortunately I got used to the smell after a few minutes. Room was dusty.
As a single woman, I did not feel secure. Very few staff about and lots of non residents using the bar and restaurant.Staff were a bit offhand. Had to pay additional car-parking as the small car park was full.
Lovely staff, everyone was so welcoming and accommodating.
Large rooms, everything that might be needed (toothpaste, extra tea bags, sewing kit...) can be got from the pantry.
Large and comfy bed.
Location in the city centre
Good breakfast
£20 per person for breakfast is a bit much I would say, but the full English was really good.
Good location near the railway station but no train noise.
Great location, clean and convenient. Loved the ‘pantry’ where you could help yourself to cold water, some basic toiletries, etc.
The room we had was quite small. The shower cubicle was also very small and the amenities were placed in a corner on the floor. A simple rack installed against the wall will make things a lot easier. There was nowhere to hang our towels either and again this is simply remedied with hooks or a towel rail installed behind the door or against a wall. I did give this feedback to one of the staff members. These are minor things and didn’t affect our stay, but one would think these are simple enough to do.
Excellent
Maybe another chair in the room
Clean and comfortable environment and friendly staff
Nothing
