Too many disappointments for the price and reputation
Pros:

Location is good and staff are very kind.

Cons:

Was put into a room with a very loud buzz from the kitchen extractor fans - running from 6am to 10pm and so loud we couldn't hear the TV and were woken up early.

When we were moved into a different room, the TV didn't work so we left one inconvenience for another.

The breakfast pastries were rock hard and not enjoyable.

Cosy country hotel in a great location

I wasn’t to keen on housekeeping coming in when not requested, noticed the signs for the door which I didn’t use but felt a bit funny when I noticed someone had been in my room whilst I was out, just acknowledgment that even without the sign up to expect them

Friendly, relaxed, quality in everything
Pros:

Super position close to the centre of town but easy to get away for trips in the area…. Sheepscombe, Slad, Painswick town and Beacon for spectacular Severn views across to Wales. Incredibly friendly and welcoming vibe from staff and manager. Great Sunday lunch and food generally. Lovely spacious room.

Pros:

Hotel location was perfect. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was perfectly cooked. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Pros:

This is a little gem of a hotel, right next to the station in the centre of stroud. Beautiful on the outside and on the inside. Super room, super comfortable, large bathroom. They have their great idea of having a pantry in the hall way amongst the rooms, that provides a fridge of cold water, extra coffee and tea ingredients and toiletries.

Cons:

Please don't let this put you off, because this is a great hotel.
I stayed in room seven and it was very warm to the point of almost being uncomfortable. Even with the window open. But to be fair, it was an unseasonably warm october day, with no breeze. There was a fan available in the room which I chose not to use. With the window open, there were some noise from traffic and people around the railway station.

Spero di dimenticarlo in fretta.
Pros:

Purtroppo nulla.

Cons:

Stanze sporche, vecchie e senza aria condizionata. Il giorno del mio soggiorno faceva molto caldo e non abbiamo potuto dormire. Colazione scarsa e di pessima qualità. Ambiente non propriamente pulito.

A good place to stay overall
Pros:

The location is perfect - right next to the station and the rest of the town. Nice enough rooms. Excellent staff.

Cons:

My room didn’t seem to have been vacuumed. I would have liked to see some healthier items on the menu in the restaurant and for breakfast, plus breakfast costs a steep £20.00.

Quality rest in Stroud
Pros:

Room was large, the bed comfortable, and everything was clean.

The location was right next to the train station and a 5-minute walk from two large grocery stores.

Enjoyable and comfortable short break
Pros:

Nice breakfast with plenty of interesting choices. perfect location directly opposite the station and right in the town centre. Newly refurbished rooms and bathrooms. Friendly helpful staff.

Cons:

Meal prices were a little pricey, especially with 12.5% service charge added.
