Highly recommended for cosy stays
Pros:

I was greeted and guided by the loveliest lady at the bar. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and cosy. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Everything worked without issues, including heating. Lots of cute little touches like biscuits, several different teas and hot chocolate sachets, plates and cutlery in the drawer, instant porridge pots, etc. I stayed in room 3 (there are 4 rooms) during a Wednesday quiz night, you can somewhat hear it in your room (you are pre-warned about this in the room guide) but I found it amusing and fairly entertaining. The room was completely quiet by midnight, and the windows are surprisingly soundproof given there's a road right outside. You're able to access your room through the lockable side gate/pub garden area, which was perfect for me as I'm autistic and prefer to come in and out unnoticed. I will definitely stay here again!

Great location for me revisiting the town I grew up near. Characterful streets now pedestrianised.
Pros:

Comfortable .spacious, well decorated rooms. Large bathroom with bath.

Fabulous and Friendly little Pub!
Pros:

Lovely room with beautiful decor. Extremely clean and comfortable. Some lovely personal touches. Kettle had been filled and boiled before our arrival and fresh water in a bottle had been left on the dresser. Very quiet for a town centre. The staff were absolutely fantastic. So helpful and friendly, they really made us feel welcome! 🤗Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning 😁

Cons:

Had a bit of trouble with the Roku tv system so couldn't use it but that was more because I am a complete technophobe and it didn't spoil our stay in any way.

Excellent
Pros:

Really nice room, big comfy bed, lovely bathroom. The lady behind the bar was so lovely and accommodating. Our luggage was looked after and we were able to get ready for a wedding in the bathroom as we were early, which was so nice. Had a lovely evening staying here. Close parking as well which is as handy. The pub was gorgeous as well, unfortunately we didn’t have time for a pint as well but a proper nice boozer.

Cons:

We dont have a bad word to say, a wonderful place.

Perfect for a weekend get away.
Pros:

Excellent accommodation, very well equipped with everything you need including porridge for breakfast.
Immaculately clean and super comfy bed .
Very near to all the tourist sites and centre .

Cosy and welcoming room in an equally appealing pub, beside the old town area.
Pros:

Beautiful and spacious room, lovely furnishings including very large bed with quality bedding, really welcoming and considerate host, atmospheric historic pub building.

Cons:

Small radiator under an old window struggled to heat the room some of the time, but this improved after we spoke to the host. No need for lobby light to come on on a sensor, there's already a nightlight to show the way to the loo.
