Highly recommend
Pros:

The room was lovely; very comfortable, clean, spacious, and had everything I needed including hot drinks and snacks. The pub downstairs was lovely too and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was just a few minutes walk into the centre of town and close to various amenities. It's a lovely change to stay in a local pub with character rather than a generic hotel chain, and I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to other visitors to Stockport.

Made our anniversary amazing
Pros:

The staff really were the best I have ever come across when staying at a hotel. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere in the pub especially. The room was lovely and so homely.

Cons:

The only thing personally, is maybe would be absolutely perfect if there was a fridge in the room. Only as it was difficult having to order alot. But that should not put anyone off as this is the best place to stay locally.

A very pleasant stay in comfort , cleanliness and with hospitable hosts.
Pros:

Breakfast option not available but knew that when booking - found an excellent place for breakfast in the Conservation area. Loved the location of this place and its convenience for the town centre - even the noise from the pub quiz or being on a flight path did not detract from the enjoyment of my stay here .

Cons:

There was nothing that I would add to this as everything was to my satisfaction. The fire escape style of access to the room might not be to everyone's taste but for me it just added to the intrigue and quirkiness.

Highly recommended for cosy stays
Pros:

I was greeted and guided by the loveliest lady at the bar. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and cosy. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Everything worked without issues, including heating. Lots of cute little touches like biscuits, several different teas and hot chocolate sachets, plates and cutlery in the drawer, instant porridge pots, etc. I stayed in room 3 (there are 4 rooms) during a Wednesday quiz night, you can somewhat hear it in your room (you are pre-warned about this in the room guide) but I found it amusing and fairly entertaining. The room was completely quiet by midnight, and the windows are surprisingly soundproof given there's a road right outside. You're able to access your room through the lockable side gate/pub garden area, which was perfect for me as I'm autistic and prefer to come in and out unnoticed. I will definitely stay here again!

Great location for me revisiting the town I grew up near. Characterful streets now pedestrianised.
Pros:

Comfortable .spacious, well decorated rooms. Large bathroom with bath.

Fabulous and Friendly little Pub!
Pros:

Lovely room with beautiful decor. Extremely clean and comfortable. Some lovely personal touches. Kettle had been filled and boiled before our arrival and fresh water in a bottle had been left on the dresser. Very quiet for a town centre. The staff were absolutely fantastic. So helpful and friendly, they really made us feel welcome! 🤗Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning 😁

Cons:

Had a bit of trouble with the Roku tv system so couldn't use it but that was more because I am a complete technophobe and it didn't spoil our stay in any way.
