Incredible effort to build such a willing team within 6 months of opening. Very willing staff, most especially in reception. Top class buffet breakfast. Pool area well tended (weather often poor in our week’s stay) Woodwork and fittings tasteful and attractive in bedrooms and public areas.
Splurge on getting an ocean view with balcony- the vie we is WELL worth paying for.
To be hypercritical, evening meal portions in the bar area were small - for 24 euros I would expect more than two clams, two mussels and a razor-clam in a pasta marinara!
Parking needs improving - the hotel relies on the public car Park opposite unless you are prepared to pay 20 euros a night for covered parking.
Wir hatten eine Deluxe-Zimmer mit 30m² gebucht, tatsächlich war es nur 20m² groß.
Das Frühstück war OK, die Lage war gut
Wir hatten ein Hotel mit Wellness- und Spa-Bereich gebucht, was uns sehr wichtig ist. Beides war jedoch nicht vorhanden. Wir haben das angesprochen und wurden auf das Nachbarhotel mit Spa-Bereich verwiesen, dieser war jedoch im schlechten Zustand. Wir haben unsere Unzufriedenheit mehrfach kundgetan und erhielten nach 4 Tagen ein Zimmerupgrade auf tatsächlich 30 m² mit Balkon, was uns zuvor für 50 €/Tag angeboten wurde.

Endlich einmal ein 5-Sterne-Hotel, das seinen Anspruch auch wirklich erfüllt. Das Personal war durchweg außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und engagiert – egal ob beim Frühstück oder an der Poolanlage. Einen solchen Service sind wir auf Teneriffa ehrlich gesagt nicht gewohnt. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll, elegant und sehr stimmig gestaltet. Besonders schön ist, dass sie perfekt zur Geschichte des Hauses passt, die ich noch persönlich in Erinnerung habe. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen definitiv wieder.
Das Hotel ist noch nicht vollständig fertiggestellt, was jedoch keine größeren Einschränkungen mit sich brachte. Die Materialwahl in den Zimmern erscheint allerdings nicht optimal – insbesondere im Hinblick auf Verschleiß, Robustheit und die Anfälligkeit für Verschmutzungen werden die Zimmer schnell altern. Auch beim Flughafentransfer war das Hotel nicht ideal aufgestellt, sowohl in Bezug auf Auswahl als auch auf die angebotenen Optionen. Zudem fehlte in einem solchen Haus – wie man es beispielsweise aus dem Hotel Botánico kennt – eine Shuttleverbindung in die Stadt.
Fabulous staff, could not fault them. Nice atmosphere in the lobby area by the seating and bar area.
Breakfast was fantastic, a huge choice of food to suit all tastes.
Our room was a nice size and kept very clean.
The wardrobe was too small as there was no space to hang long dresses and not enough hangers. I ended up hanging my dresses in the bathroom on a hook.
The bathroom was missing towel rails for the hand towels and they were rolled under the sinks.
There were no coat hooks either!
The gym and spa were not yet open (although advertised as being open), and the service around the pool areas was "hit & miss" as we had to go and find staff to serve us from inside the hotel.

Hotel restaurado, sin ruidos y excelente
The property is a new renovation on a historic and proud landmark hotel. The location is overlooking Puerto De La Cruz and is right beside a beautiful park.
Unfortunately the spa wasn’t ready yet which was frustrating but the hotel itself is almost picture perfect with some very nice modern art incorporating old and new worlds.
There was no spa built but I assume that when is is ready the hotel will be more complete.

Everything was magical
El hotel es una auténtica maravilla. Desde el personal que es fantástico, hasta sus instalaciones históricas renovadas. Bajo mi punto de vista el mejor hotel del Puerto de la Cruz sin duda.
It was away from the horror of the coast. It felt exclusive and there was no riff raff
It had its teething problems. Lots still need fixing. And there were a number of facilities we went for which were not yet opened or completed

An exceptional experience. The service was outstanding, and the interior design is incredibly tasteful. I especially loved the quiet, peaceful garden. It’s a hotel that beautifully honors its history while offering a completely modern feel.
Note that during our stay, the fitness and SPA center were not yet open, and some minor renovation work was still ongoing. However, this didn't interfere with our relaxation or the overall quality of our stay.
