I loved the views, the food and the wonderful staff
Nothing
The room was comfortable, with AC and blackout curtains which helped to keep the room cool. It had a very nice view from the balcony. The breakfast was varied and tasty; the made to order omelette very nice.
I didn't get to use the pool but it looked very clean and inviting. The staff are very good there. I was travelling alone but I did ask if they have family rooms which they don't, only adjoining rooms. Would love to stay with my family sometime but not sure if it's ideal for a family stay with young kids. Great stay, thanks.
I can't think of anything I didn't like. Everything was really very good. As good as any similar rated hotel in the UK and better than many.
La chambre propre, le bon petit déjeuner, la piscine, l’emplacement, l’accueil
Nous avons réservé la première nuit avec booking, on partait ensuite en safari. On a demandé à la réception s’ils nous faisaient le même prix que booking. On a donné le prix en monnaie rwandais mais la réception a compris $. La réception nous a dit que le prix était pratiquement le même (car elle pensait que mon prix était en $). on est donc passé par l’hôtel et pas par booking. Au moment du Check out on a découvert le malentendu: on nous a demandé de payer 185$ à la place de $125 qu’on aurait eu avec booking. On a demandé si l’hôtel pouvait faire un geste commercial (par exemple nous charger le prix de booking du jour du Check out qui était toujours plus bas) au vu du malentendu. On nous a dit fermement non car c’était normal de parler de dollars quand on parle du prix de la chambre et pas d’argent local. L’hôtel oublie que plus que la moitié du monde n’utilise pas les $. On nous a également indiqué que l’hôtel aurait pu nous appliquer le tarif booking si on avait signalé le problème au moment du Check-in et pas du check-out (absurde car on nous a pas indiqué le prix au Check-in). Je trouve cette attitude pas admissible pour un hôtel de ce niveau. On fait partir le client déçu sans raison et on s’excuse même pas. L’hôtel s’est enrichi de 60$ bravo mais la déception d’un client qui faisait confiance à la parole du personnel ne les vaut pas. A l’avenir on passera toujours par booking (mais plus au 1000 collines cela va de soi).

Although I requested - before checking in - a nice view room but they gave a room on the first floor with the view blocked by the roof of the bar, and just convenient for the hotel staff to do daily services
This is while the hotel was not full and lots of vacant room were available on the upper floors and the new wing were.
