The room was a good size. Location was good
The building was very tired from the outside. Not the best first impression. The room was clean and spacious. The receptionist seemed nervous although explained where everything was. At breakfast the staff were rude and unpleasant. We waited ages to be seated eventually we just sat down. We asked a waiter(later we found out he was the supervisor) if we could get some tea. He said he would organise that in the meantime help yourself to the continental. Great we thought, buffet was basic but had some muesli, whilst eating a waiter came up and said “you can’t sit there, it’s reserved for coach tours, you’ll have to move “ in a very aggressive manner. A little bit stunned my husband said Im not moving. Im in the middle of my cereal. The waiter said again “you’ll have to move” I tried to explain that another waiter had seen us and told us to eat, but he very antagonistically said “you’re not moving” to my husband. I knew where this would end up as my husband has a short fuse when spoken to rudely for no reason. I said we’ll finish our cereal and move. The waiter glared at us. It was very uncomfortable and very unprofessional. A minute later a lady in a wheelchair said oh you’re sitting at my table. She was going to sit somewhere else but we moved for her convenience. It then took one of the coach drivers, Mark from Alfa, lovely man to get out tea and toast. When eventually the supervisor came to take our hot food order we’d lost our appetite and said we didn’t want anything, he turned to his colleague and raised his eyebrow which he clearly didn’t think id seen. We left, thanked Mark. Packed up and I went to reception. I told the boy what had happened, but he didn’t seem to know what to say. He said the supervisor said we didn’t wait to be seated and totally ignored the whole rude waiter and the way we’d been treated by him as well.
If I were in the area again I’d rather sleep in the car.
Breakfast was very good and plentiful
Nothing, staff was pleasent and welcoming
Mega warm op de kamer , gat in de vloer onder de vloerbedekking , verouderd
Nice evening meal at a very reasonable cost. Fantastic breakfast. Lovely views of Loch Linnhe. Helpful staff.
Dining was alot busier than I am used to with a longish wait for breakfast due to coach party bookings - can't really fault this as it is their business, I'm just used to getting a quicker start in the morning.
Nice location almost at the end of Loch Linnhe. Nice views of the loch if you happen to get a lake-view room. There is a road between the hotel and the Loch, which is fairly busy during the day, but sufficiently quiet at night. The rooms were generally ok, not very big but clean. One was a bit smelly.
We booked our accommodations relatively late, and it turned out that most of the places we stayed at (and the Croit Anna Hotel is no exception) are too expensive from a price/quality ratio perspective - especially when compared to accommodations in other holiday regions. The landscapes in Scottland are of course fantastic!
Staff were very pleasant. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable and freshly decorated.
Location and staff
Cleanliness in the room and bathroom was subpar, unfortunately.
Not much - hotel was rated 3 stars at 140 pounds per night - per room - hotel shout not be rated 3 stars- it’s old dated and could hear someone fart either side of your room or above or below you.
The fact that my toilet war blocked and couldn’t use it for my stay -
Staff were friendly. It had a very classical set up. Twin bedroom was comfortable.
Make sure you get breakfast included.
Location
There is no hot water, so it is impossible to take a shower either in the evening or in the morning. There is no choice of breakfast. The rooms smell unpleasantly of dampness. The staff is completely indifferent to customer complaints
Room was very clean and tidy, breakfast was very enjoyable staff were efficient and polite
The only problem was that my partner had difficulty negotiating the stairs
