OK for short visits, but not for longer stays!
Pros:

Good parking availability. Room was comfortable, and had good views, along with TV and facility to make a Tea or Coffee. Food at Dinner was good, but we didn't try the Breakfast (as it was too early for us) so can't comment on it, but Menu looked good. Staff were very good! Nothing was too much trouble. They were friendly, and pleasant.

Cons:

The Shower Cubicle in the room, was dirty, and not cleaned properly. The Tile joints had mouldy deposits. The Slip Mat was dirty on one side, also, the sliding gear for the shower doors was black with mould / rust? and looked like it had NEVER been cleaned properly! I didn't use the Shower because of these issues. As the Coach Parties leave fairly early in the morning, there can be a fair amount of noise, as people are getting up to get ready for the early Breakfast, and early departure. If you're NOT an early bird, the noise can waken you, or disturb your rest!

Outside area for sitting could do with an upgrade. Bench seats with tables, needed a repaint, or even replaced. Area was "stark" looking, and could with some plants, or something to make it more pleasant for sitting out. There is no Lunch Service - not even Sandwiches, or even bottled water to drink. Bar doesn't open till 16.30, so, no chance of any refreshments until then? All in all, the Hotel is geared towards it's Coach Trips - which is the same Company as the Hotel. There were 2 or 3 Coach Arrivals, and Departures each day, so, the Bar, Dinner, and Breakfast, are all timed for their Convenience. Overall, the outward appearance of the Hotel is in need of a complete renovation.

Very disappointing stay. Dark, unclean room.

Cons:

After our previous stay a couple of months ago which was very good we decided to return for a stopover.
Paid a lot less for the lovely room on our last visit than we did this time that we wished we had just driven home as we didn’t get any sleep at all.
Extremely disappointed this time as room was at back of hotel with bracken & trees right outside the window in fact nearly in the window it made the room very dark & it was not very clean.
Very noisy with people walking about all night in the room above. Then after 6am really loud banging started like air lock in pipes.
When reported to reception staff in morning they seemed very uninterested.
We thought we had found the perfect stopover for all our trips on this route - unfortunately not anymore - will be looking elsewhere.
