Rien
Very cosy and comfortable rooms - only 2 rooms so we could share the bathroom among the 4 of us. Cosy chill out area inside. Amazing breakfast with pancakes in the morning. Walking distance 20 mins to city Center.
Outdoor chill out area is still being built :)
Everything about this place is Capisa Sana! Veronica and her boys are so accommodating. Gerald owns tour business and is great guide. They make transition to Tanzania so easy. Space is super clean. Easy to find. Safe area of town. Easy location to go anywhere!
Pole sana, there’s nothing I dislike.
Ottima posizione vicino all'aeroporto.
We spent only one day at nomads nest, our first day in Tanzania and the next morning we went on safari. But it was enough to understand how welcoming, caring and sincere Martin and his mother Veronica were. After 2 weeks, we returned for our things as if to old friends.
The accommodation itself is comfortable, clean and quiet. The location is convenient – between the city center and the local airport. For us – a family of 4, it was very convenient to have the entire premises at our disposal – 2 bedrooms and a dining room. In addition to an excellent breakfast, we also ordered dinner from Veronica, our first acquaintance with the local cuisine turned out to be very successful – the food was very tasty.
Martin took care of all the transfers, and this was not an easy task, since we had a lot of luggage. He also called a taxi and explained to the driver what we were interested in in the city. This was important, since the driver did not speak English.
The price for everything was more than reasonable.
We had a lovely stay at Nomads Nest Safari house. The room was spacious and clean with a mosquito net. Veronica and Martin were excellent hosts and really went the extra mile to help out and make us feel comfortable. Veronica even came to the market to help us buy a warm blanket for safari.
Highly recommend this lovely place. Veronica's breakfasts were really delicious and we had the best pineapple we've ever eaten!
Very nice bedrooms, breakfast is amazing
The young host and his mother had wonderful personality and hospitality.
We shared stories about each other's countries, and as our schedules happened to coincide, he showed me around Arusha.
I was also very satisfied with the breakfast, which included delicious omelets, pancakes, and a wide variety of fruits.
Staying at this hotel made my trip to Tanzania better and more memorable.
Very nice hostess, clean and comfortable room, close to airport, a good place to stay
Great house very clean and great hosts
Room got a little hot for people not used to the heat
Really great lodging, clean and comfortable room, hostess Veronica and boy Martin and really nice, they helped a lot, it’s just like staying at your own home
I stayed with Gerald for only a couple nights but managed to do a lot in a short time and get to know him a bit! He kindly picked me up from the airport at 2am and we drove to the house. It was in a fairly quiet area - even as a light sleeper I had no troubles. The bedroom was decently sized and comfy. The toilet was fine and the shower was hot, although maybe not a high pressure jet you might find in a fancy hotel, for the price I really cannot complain. I had asked if he would drive me to the local lake called Duluti, so we went in the afternoon. He also helped me get a sim card and currency on the way. (Be prepared to have street sellers approach you as soon as you enter the town!) The lake was lovely - recommend it as a chill day if you have a late flight or are tired from travel - you can canoe or walk around and there are restaurants. Gerald spent the day with me for this and was knowledgeable about the bird life. I got some great pictures of kingfishers and an eagle! He has his own company so is experienced with the area and Safari/Kilimanjaro.
I departed the next morning for a 3 day safari, and then returned for a final day before heading off to Moshi for Kilimanjaro. Gerald looked after my luggage whilst I was away and also exchanged some more currency for me. I should also mention he grabbed some fruit and eggs from the market to make breakfast on my request which was very kind. I left a proportionate tip!
Overall a wonderful stay, and if you need help getting around he is certainly a great chap to ask for help.
It can be a little challenging to find the house but just call Gerald if needed.
