In the the middle of forest almost.
Right in surrounded by nature.
Close as can get without being in a tent🫶
Not much not to like , apart from what couldn’t b helped with boiler issue so had to swap apartment.
I stayed in the Bramble lodge - Beautiful location, tucked away in the woods just outside of Cromer, 10 mins to the town/beach. Very quiet, didn't hear anything from any of the other lodges. The accomodation itself was a really high standard, lovely big bed, very nice bathroom, seating area. Also has it's own terrace with seats/table. I took my dog with me, and it was so handy to be able to just open the door and let her out onto to the lawn. Would definitely visit again!
The bathroom was good. The breakfast was fine.
The pool area seemed a little tired. The decor of the lodge seemed less than coordinated.. and the host didn't seem that welcoming though he may have been harassed by technical issues.
Our room was fantastic, very spacious. Was lovely to have the lounge area to relax in. Breakfast was brilliant, freshly cooked.
Having the private hot tub was lovely!
Great location and great facilities
The walks around the property
The room was ok but freezing cold and humid. The food at dinner was overpriced for what it was and not particularly good. The risotto was more like porridge. It was watery, tasteless and it seemed like pudding rice was used instead of risotto rice. Breakfast was ok but quite mean if you don't want a fry up.
Felbrigg Lodge is situated in the heart of Norfolk, surrounded by forest; an idyllic hideaway to rediscover your zen! The lodges are super and setup with peace and privacy in mind whilst being close enough to the main house where the restaurant is. This is not your usual-style of Hotel; instead almost like a 'colony' getaway with lots of beautiful forest lodges hidden away. The staff and owners (Dee-Dee and Philip) were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They work HARD! Breakfast choices were great, catering for all appetites. I had the full Felbrigg cooked breakfast which was perfect. My good lady enjoyed the fruity alternatives and the porridge. Dogs are mostly welcome; we stayed in the Family lodge (Hedgehog lodge) where our dog was allowed. She loved the surroundings. Dense woodlands! Lodges are very comfortable with private hot tubs and wood burners for the colder months. Small kitchen with fridge-freezer and microwave, washing machine etc. Beautiful heavy curtains, traditional furniture. Lovely. Free WIFI is available and is hit and miss if there are lots of visitors, but overall we managed. Sky TV available on all the TVs.
There are some areas that look a little tired, but in the forest, one can expect that the forest envelopes all in its surroundings. It is not really something we did not like, but for those that like a lesser cob-web experience, may quiver slightly lol. Cobwebs are a thing externally. Phillip and Dee-Dee might want to have a check of kitchen-wares generally, as we could not find any plates when we were snacking in the evenings. Just a minor point!
The peace full surrounding s
Clean tidy lovely garden s
Beautiful location and setting in the woods. Very comfortable bed and well appointed suite with lovely large clean bathroom with shower over. Separate dressing room with refrigerator and ironing board. Unfortunately no iron.
Beautiful West Runton beach a short drive away.
Fawlty Towers is alive and well in Norfolk! The entrance road is full of enormous pot holes. Upon arrival there was a huge dog poo in the main car park at the entrance (clearly left by the owners wandering dog) which was still there when we left.
Philip was just plain rude upon arrival, not a smile nor a welcome. The same stern face at breakfast. Breakfast was a full plate but the sausage was pink and undercooked and the plate rolling in grease. The poached eggs on toast - eggs perfect but the toast wet through. The only smile came when we left 2 days later and I was charged £30 for my small dog for 2 nights as opposed to the £10 per night quoted. When I enquired I was told it went up last year! We are now in August so if it went up last year why are you sending emails confirming £10?
Overall not impressed. If you can’t welcome customers with a smile and show basic common courtesy then don’t work in hospitality.
Philip was helpful and changed our room quickly upon request.
Room innitially allocated to us (Bramble I think) was full of dust, especially under the bed ,which was an issue due to my wife having asthma attack but Philip quickly helped us out and changed our room to a much cleaner and comfortable one.
Stunning quite location.
Excellent location in the gorgeous Felbrigg Woods, which is great for walks. The hotel was lovely and accommodated our requests. Pet friendly. Breakfast was great. Staff were helpful in making recommendations for local restaurants.
So quiet and peaceful. A hidden gem.
Lovely location and beautiful room. Very friendly and accommodating host.
Our stay was too short!
The Staff were so friendly and informative about the area.
Absolutely first class, nothing more to say
