Secluded, beautiful family run business with easy walking access to Cat Bells and surrounding fells
Pros:

Lovely rural location surrounded by stunning fellside views
Friendly family run business
Comfy clean rooms and v tasty breakfast

Cons:

Our only sadness is that we couldn’t try the evening meals as the restaurant is closed Tues / Wed night but found some lovely places to eat in Keswick

Wonderful stay at a stunning property.
Pros:

Wonderful stay, the Swinside Inn is located in the stunning Newlands valley. All the rooms have undergone renovation and are beautifully furnished, and extremely comfortable. The bedroom enjoyed fantastic views to Grisedale Pike and Cats Bells and beyond. All the staff were super friendly and efficient and the breakfasts were first class and set us up for our days hiking in the mountain. We’ll be returning for sure.

Excellent, good value for money, fantastic location
Pros:

Location is excellent with hikes just minutes from the door, loads of parking, friendly staff, clean rooms, nice food, good amenities

Cons:

They could have do not disturb signs for doors in the rooms available, was quite hot in the room because the radiator turn switch was stuck on hot

You can’t get an evening meal on Tuesday & Wednesday which is a shame as the food is lovely

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and what a great location.The atmosphere was incredibly friendly, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Everything was spotless, from the rooms to the common areas. The room was charming and the bed was very comfortable, and I slept exceptionally well each night. What truly stood out was the excellent service—every request was handled quickly and with genuine care. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone.

Lovely old inn, stunning location a views and food that is out of this world.
Pros:

Lovely old inn, recently refurbished. The food, well that was out of this world. I have eaten at a lot of Michelin star restaurants over the years and have to say that the food at the Swinside Inn more than compared. The main I had in the evening was one of the best plates of food I have ever eaten.
Our room was quiet and the bed ultra comfortable.

Our room overlooked Catbells was stunning.
The staff were amazing, the lady that served us breakfast was so lovely and helpful.
Would definitely return / would recommend.
