Pros:

Most gorgoues inn! We got upgraded to the loveliest room with our two doggos. The room was amazing and the food at the inn was incredible. Everyone was incredibly friendly and we felt at home after a long day on the road. Would 100% come back!

Pros:

Great place, very clean & staff were welcoming. We ate there in the evening which was delicious & breakfast was lovely too.

Cons:

Room was very small - just two of us & a little dog & it felt very cramped.

We would like to comeback. I think that sums up our stay.
Pros:

Lovely breakfast, beautiful location, warm, friendly and competent staff.

Cons:

No hot water for a bath and a dodgy shower.

Fabulous from start to finish!
Pros:

The hotel staff were able to accommodate an early check in for both our rooms which was really helpful as we were attending a wedding and needed to change. Every member of staff was very helpful and friendly. Even to the extent they made sure we got our welcome cookies the next day as they hadn’t been ready on arrival due to our early check in.

Cosy clean farmhouse stay, super comfortable bed, dog friendly, amazing walks on doorstep
Pros:

Brilliant location close to everything we wanted to do nearby, both on foot and by car. Dog friendly and kept to a very clean standard. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were great and very helpful.

Cons:

There was a mass race event on during our arrival which we had not been informed about whilst/since booking, so on arrival we were made to feel quite out of place as there was a big crowd blocking us getting into the car park, and it wasn’t clear where we should go on arrival. It would’ve been nice to know this event was on. The staff were apologetic and gave us a bottle of Prosecco as a token gesture which was appreciated.

Super Lake District Stay - hard to beat !
Pros:

The staff are exceptionally professional, helpful, efficient and welcoming.
The room was spotlessly clean with a super comfy bed, tasteful decor and ambient lighting.
The restaurant and bar welcoming and cosy and the food delicious and beautifully cooked, presented and served!
It's a difficult thing to achieve but the Swinside Inn offers something for everyone- a great walkers pub, super comfy, quality rooms, really super evening meals and a great breakfast whilst retaining a country pub integrity.
I would 100% recommend and will undoubtedly return !

Great upgrade to the Swinside!
Pros:

Friendly attentive staff, tastefully decorated, comfortable spotlessly clean rooms, excellent breakfast included, 3 course meals were delicious and welcome change from the usual pub grub served in the Lakes, very dog friendly, beautiful views, well placed for getting to Keswick.

Cons:

Walls and floor very thin, bed was comfortable but we could hear the adjoining rooms conversations abit too clearly and getting to sleep before 11/11:30 was off the cards due to noises in the pub below. Hopefully just our room and not the others.

Lovely stay , let down by lack of hot water and heating, especially now it’s needed in winter.

Room was good, great views etc

Cons:

The room was very cold, the radiator in the bedroom wasn’t getting warm never mind hot, room stayed cold all throughout about stay. Also the shower wasn’t the best and it made a weird groaning sound when it was being used, no hot water for the bath, had to boil the kettle around 10 times to get the bath warm, that’s why we booked that room too as it had a bath, but sadly let down with the lack of hot water and heating..shame as it’s a nice room apart from that
