Mavida lodge is exceptional. Jeanne was extremely helpful and always keen to give a recommendation or help in organising activities. The house is very beautiful and the location is great, 10 min away from the busy center of Levuka. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and they were being clean daily which seems not to be the standard in Fiji. Great option.

My husband and I had a wonderful 4-night stay here. The guesthouse is on the waterfront about a 10 minute walk from the wharf. The room was very clean and had everything we needed including a kettle and tea/coffee. Without a doubt the best part of this accommodation is the staff. Joanne and the team are excellent and everyone is very friendly. The overall atmosphere is very convivial. There is a nice covered outdoor area ideal for hanging out for a few hours and reading. Breakfast is fabulous and plentiful. Thanks very much to the team.
Not a negative but just a note to prospective guests, when booking please bear in mind that this is a guesthouse and not a beach side resort hotel. WiFi didn't reach the room but is available in the lobby area, this was ideal for us as it allowed us to 'switch off'.

This is the place to stay in Levuka 😀
Great stay at Levuka. Johanna and all the staff were incredibly kind and helped us organize a guided tour of the city and an island tour, even at the last minute. Since it’s not always easy to find restaurants in town that are open and offer a varied menu, we also managed to arrange an excellent ‘seafood dinner’ — highly recommended.
Breakfast was wonderful and staff very helpful. Very close to the seawall and a couple of scenic points for photos. The hotel is in a good location and had a few free parking spots for guests. Everything in town is nearby and easy to walk to visit. The main lobby provided helpful magazines about Fiji.
The Internet coverage was insufficient and the staff recommendation was to use the lobby for Internet access. The level of noise from the nearby road was loud.
The front staff is very friendly and professional. Location is great, though there's hardly anything to do in Levuka.
Loud noises from the guests and music - partying exceeding 10 pm both nights of our stay. This definitely defeated the purpose of being the quaint little accommodation in the first capital of Fiji - Levuka. Sadly, Levuka had become almost an abandoned town. We booked one of the rooms upstairs with an air conditioner and a larger bed. The toilet bowl wobbled, and the bathroom was unclean. Cleanliness is not about being in a remote island - it's an attitude. I had hope that our stay could have been more pleasant.
