Residence on Park Street

We stayed here for one night and had an enjoyable time. The room was spacious, especially the bathroom. Everything was enjoyable.

We loved everything about this hotel. Didn't want to leave!

The staff are great, the room was lovely and the courtyard with pool is paradise. Highly recommend.

It rains in Sri Lanka right ? Three rooms we were given had really bad leaks. The fourth room an unfinished bathroom floor with loose tiles. Lights that didn’t work. The only compensation offered was a free drink. Then there was a strange nationality question asked at check in of my wife. The property is lovely by the management of it appalling

Beautiful property. Far exceeded my expectations. Service was incredible. The room was so luxurious and the property grounds were lovely. I wish I stayed longer because the breakfast for my one night stay was so delicious and I would have liked to enjoy that for a few more days! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone I know.

Gorgeous heritage property, super stylish. Staff unenthusiastic ar times bordering on unhelpful. Several issues with cleanliness, having to ask several times for something to be done. Not quite up to expectations.

Stunning rooms, breakfast service was a little slow. But all round a great stay in a nice boutique hotel

This was an an amazing find right in the centre of Colombo city. Many attractions were within walking distance or a short tuktuk ride away.

The staff were really attentive and eager to please. The room, or suite as it was really, was fabulous; elegant and spacious, and included a small private courtyard area.

There were two small bugbears:
- the menu included pork (which we wanted) but the hotel said they’d stopped serving it due to government regulations. The government has withdrawn their restrictions on pork products but the hotel hadn’t amended its menu. As we currently live in the Middle East where pork isn’t available, this was a big disappointment to us. They need to add a note to the menu or print of new paper pages!

- the other thing is the state of the pool. It looked a bit cloudy at times and felt greasy. The manager assured us it was clean and has the correct level of chemicals in it. Also, there were some tiles missing in the pool and around the edges which were unattractive but easily solved.

These didn’t spoil our stay and we’d still highly recommend this hotel for an authentic city break to anyone who doesn’t want a 5* chain that could be anywhere in the world.

This is a truly lovely hotel a calm in the busy city of Colombo. Rooms are beautiful as is the hotel, staff are professional and courteous. Food was lovely and the Sri Lankan breakfast is a must however the English breakfast ie: muffins were not like English muffins at all more cake and not a pleasant experience for breakfast, however I would totally recommend staying here it was a delight.

The property is mall and cozy but intimate. There is a pool in the courtyard, a few chairs. Staff is kind, food is tasty and nicely plated. Room are very spacious with a living room sort of but maintaining the property needs some work. Such as walls and floors, sofa and chairs in room needs refurbishing or replacing as such are ripped and stained and it takes away from the overall ambiance. Housekeeping also needs some work especially the morning housekeeping staff who did a really poor job cleaning our room. Stained sheets and covers were not replaced, empty tissue box left, mirror not cleaned and most importantly glasses and dishes not cleaned after our use. That left a really bad impression as after mentioning it to the evening manager he took prompt care of it. The evening housekeeper did a great job cleaning throughout and throughly. Thank you.
One thing I didn’t like though, some guests were smoking either in their room or in the tiny private courtyard i believe all rooms come with, but the smoke kept coming into our rooms. Not sure if
The hotel is a smoking hotel, but if i knew that i probably would not have stayed here because i am allergic to cigarette smoke.
Also, the floor in the great big shower-that the rooms cone with is super slippery and there are no plastic shower mats as we inquired about those, so they told us to just put a towel on the floor but that kind of felt strange even though we ended doing because you can really slip and fall otherwise.

Uga Residence Colombo is an amazing facility. The staff made me feel so welcome and prepared a special birthday surprise as well. The hotel itself is very clean with some added toiletries that are a nice touch. If you are looking for a unique stay, I highly recommend it.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, a lovely oasis in the middle of the city. Excellent service and the rooms are wonderful with really comfortable beds. Great breakfast and amazing atmosphere. Will definitely return to Uga Residence!

An 5 star and private boutique hotel. There are only 11 suite rooms therefore guests that stay here value the privacy and exclusivity of the property. Shouldn’t allow corporate function or event to be held in the small property. Event held during my stay had occupied the swimming pool, courtyard, restaurant and lobby. All these are within a few hundred feet from the rooms.

Wonderful hotel and wonderful stuff.

Only good things to say about this place.

The staff at Uga were amazing, and the room size and comfort is simply outstanding. To top it all off, each meal there is a culinary delight, from a simple croissant, to the amazing steaks for dinner.

truly one of the best properties i have stayed at.

A very comfortable oasis in the middle of Colombo. The beautiful pool only has 4 sunbeds round it, but while we were there this was never a problem. As is customary in Sri Lanka the service is glacially slow in the bar and restaurant. The restaurants in Park Street Mews next door are worth investigating.

Friendly, helpful and service minded staff in a peaceful beautiful location. Fantastic breakfast. Highly recommended

Very happy with experience at this hotel. Room was very spacious and clean. Staff was very smiley, accommodating, and helpful. Breakfast at the restaurant was 10/10 delicious. Location was great too, only a short walk to a lot of temples and sightseeing places. Only slight con was that our bathroom door didn’t lock properly. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Colombo!

This was a very quiet, sophisticated property at which to stay.
