Pros:

La posizione della stanza è molto buona, giusto al centro di Santo Antonio, una via con diversi locali, e molto piacevole e tranquilla per passeggiare, e a solo 10/15 min a piedi dall' entrata del pelourinho. Jorge e Ju sono molto ospitali e ti fanno sentire in famiglia. Praticamente si è dentro casa loro quindi non è il posto ideale per conoscere altri turisti però sicuramente lo è se si cerca un esperienza più locale e autentica.
La stanza è molto semplice e non troppo spaziosa ma ha tutto quello che serve.

Hospitalidade e localização PERFEITAS! Jorge e Juliana são tão gentis e solícitos que tornaram minha experiência ainda mais prazerosa, me senti em casa. A localização é incrível, eu fiz tudo o que dei tempo a pé rs e tinha opções culturais e históricas do ladinho.

Cons:

Gostei de tudo. Só uma observação, pra mim não foi um problema, ms como o quarto triplo não tem janela, talvez seja uma questão pra alguém, daí os outros quartos seriam uma melhor opção.

Great place to stay during a great visit in Salvador!! I recommend, thumbs up.
Pros:

Canto Zen is a pleasant “home like” hostel. Both Jorge and Ju are very friendly hosts who answered all our questions and were very accommodating with all our requests. The rooms were simple, comfortable and clean. Even though it was very hot, I didn’t miss an AC. The individual fan was enough for a good night of sleep and rest for a day exploring downtown. The price, and the location were for sure VERY VERY convenient and nice! Also, even though close to “Pelourinho”, CantonZen has car access for Taxi and Uber!! Parking is not easy though.

Cons:

One thing I would love to see improved is a bathroom closer to the bedrooms. Especially during the night, a closer bathroom would be very convenient.

Great, clean, place in Salvador’s historic center
Pros:

Clean and peaceful place at a great location in historic district. Very kind and attentive hosts. Comfortable room.

Cons:

Breakfast included would have been nice, but I do recognize it is not common in Salvador’s hostels. There was a leak from the shower stall in the bathroom that need to be repaired. It didn’t take away from the pleasant stay, though.

Wonderful hosts and property!
Pros:

The location and charm of the building. The staff are amazing, helpful and nice! I would definitely recommend this place to other travelers!

It's easily the hostel I liked most in Salvador. Perfectly clean, no crowds, with enough space to breathe. So in each respect unlike all other hostels I've staid at in Salvador. And the best part of it are the hosts which I had a huge pleasure hanging out with. To me, simply ideal hosts

Pros:

The location is perfect especially for carnaval. It is on one of the most beautiful streets. I was the only non-brazilian in the hostel and I felt welcomed and at home. July and Mariana were so helpful and kind.
