Nice and clean
Nothing
Nothing. The place is poorly managed, dingy, and without a working elevator. Which ia an ADA violation. At I am the whole hotel was awoken to a loud, vi ratory sound that lasted over 30 min. I contacted the front desk who stated theybwere not on property. Theybwould come by when available to check it out. Mind you in co tinued for another 15 min and then you heard the motor slowly dying. Well, I figured out what the sound was as I had NO hot water to shower 5 hours later. So on tip of horrible customer service, I had poor sleep due to a broken water heater but there was again no one there to complain to or even. Heck out to the next day!
Let's start with check in: There is no one on site. You ring a bell. Luckily my coworker checked in the day before so she had the code to the door bevause no one was there to open the door. It only gets worse from there. For 20 MINUTES we called the 2 numbers taped to the desk with no answer. Mind you this is at 630 pm. We left text messages...no response. Finally we looked over and saw my registration paperwork(which is still on paper). We reached over, filled it out and took the key. We attached the registration with a note and contact to call me for the credit card and whatever else they would need. 2.5 HOURS later, while am asleep in bed, I hear pou ding o. The door. I get up and 2 security guards and apparently a front desk agent finally decided to show up. She proceeds to tell me that I'm luck she doesn't throw me out. I proceeded to explain that she is finally back at the hotel 2.5 hours AFTER calling and texting. She denied ever receiving a call or text u til I go back to the phone, show her and then find my number and text in her phone. Still unapologetic, she asks. For .y credit card info. By the way, she is holding my note and my completed registration form in her hand. The kicker is that even after showing her all that, she still said, I can kick you out for this. Only the security guard was apologetic when I demanded that they loon at the cameras. My registration and key card with the room number assigned was on the front desk. This was clearly a sign to fill it out and take the card, especially after 20 minutes of calling and texting. He offered me champagne and I instead just asked for water. After 40 min he came back to say they had no water despite having an open bar that was still open.
On to the property: The elevator did not work. I waited for 5 min for this and my coworker told me that it didn’t work yesterday either. This is a violation since it is NOT ADA compliant. See above for continued review.
It’s location
Waiting for staff to arrive
The location. The one staff member we briefly met was friendly.
No staff on site.
Check-in took approx an hour despite there being no other guests at reception. During our four-night stay, the room was not cleaned once, even after multiple requests made via WhatsApp and phone calls to the number provided at reception. While fresh towels were eventually delivered, having to repeatedly follow up for basic housekeeping is unacceptable, especially for a hotel marketed as “luxury.” Additionally, the room did not match the photos shown online. Although it was still reasonably nice, given the price and level of service, better value can be found elsewhere, such as an Airbnb.
Quick check in - we arrived earlier and were allowed to check in earlier as the room was ready.
Big room.
Good quality shampoo and conditioner.
Location!
There is nobody at the front desk - you have to call or message in whatsapp when you need anything.
No breakfast is offered but that's not a big deal as there are awesome places to eat steps from the hotel. e.g. Tostado.
Not once was the room cleaned or fresh towels or linens provided. Also AC was high and could not regulate and tv did not work.
Location was about a mile from the cobblestone street area, walkable if you are a walker, inexpensive Uber if not
Housekeeping was non existent for me, even after I requested
Room was comfortable and spacious. A microwave would be a nice addition.
You need yo have staff on the front desk in intervals to deal with issues as they arise.
No one in reception most of the time. They never came into my room while I was there for four days. When I arrived 10.30pm there was a note to ring a number. I didn’t have wifi or anyway to make a call. I needed a taxi on checkout to get to the Grand Princess cruise ship. So I headed off walking with my luggage which could have been a disaster.
