Akoma San Pancho

Needs to have curtains in the window. Very odd reception hours and check-in method. Not a very social place to stay.

The venue has rooms set up in 3 different areas and their level of comfort differs. The specific area where my room was located features a few rooms one next to the other separated by a wall that doesn't block sound at all so if you care for privacy you will have none or if you are a light sleeper there is a high risk you will be woken up any time in the night when your room neighbours returns later than you. I stayed there 5 days and only 1 night I was woken up by the neighbours who returned at 3.30am and chatted amongst 3 people/ even started music until i got up to tell them right away that they had woken me up (and I was wearing ear plugs). So I recommend this place for 1 or 2 nights only if you are a light sleeper or longer if you are a heavy sleeper.

The whole room was damp, smelled musky and was covered in mould (pics attached). It was growing so badly out of the ceiling we deemed it unsafe to stay in and left after 1 night. They initially agreed to refund us for the unused nights and then when i tried to process it through Booking they refused and have since stopped replying to my messages. The room was also much smaller than advertised and didn't even have bedside tables. There was construction going on next door and loud drilling all through the day, as well as the workers shouting at each other in the entrance.

Shower water temperature was difficult to sustain, fluctuating between extremes.

Serious health risk – my room had an extremely strong mold smell. It was impossible to sleep, even with the door and air conditioning on. It was simply unbearable. I had to leave early and pay for another accommodation. There is another review mentioning the same issue. The place looks nice, but poor architecture seems to be causing the mold spreading.

no posee 20 metros cuadrados, como se indica en la plataforma, sino que parecer ser de unos 9 metros cuadrados (3 x 3 mts). Además, el wc posee una fuga de agua en su base

The toilet rooms could have been better. They weren't bad, just could have been easily spruced up a bit to be more welcoming.

AI-generated "painting" behind the bed. In some places I wouldn't mind, or wouldn't even notice, but in San Pancho where there are so many creative people and so many affordable handmade decorations, it doesn't make sense to choose something made by a computer as the centerpiece to the room.

Not all the doors are the same but my room had a sliding door that slides open if not locked. The lock needs two hands so is a bit awkward when going in and out with shower stuff. There is a hook for the towels but it would also be good to have a little shelf or something in the bathroom to put your things. Bathroom could be a bit cleaner.
