Originally I was going to book a day trip from Hoi An to do some snorkelling but decided to spend a night on the island and I’m so glad that we did. Our host My helped us with the ferry ticket and also arranged a motorbike for us so we could go around the island and stop at places to snorkel. My also cooked us a delicious evening meal.

The island is absolutely stunning and the people are so friendly and welcoming. This was a little dad and daughter trip and the highlight of our two week trip to Vietnam.

If you book the day trip then you return to the mainland by 2.30 but if you stay overnight then you see the island at a relaxed pace and away from any crowds.

If you are in the Da Nang or Hoi An area then I would highly recommend a trip to the Cham Islands and I highly recommend staying at the wooden cabin. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

Pros:

The family was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and made me feel very comfortable during my stay. The homestay has a beautiful view, and both the room and surrounding areas were very clean and well looked after. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it! 😊

Cons:

The only downsides were that I found the accommodation quite expensive for what was offered, and breakfast was also on the pricey side. Overall, the family were lovely and I appreciated their hospitality.

Très jolie vue sur le port et formidable accueil de My !
Pros:

Super hotel aux chambres soigneusement arrangées avec balcon et très jolie vue sur le petit port de Cham. Depuis l’établissement plusieurs très belles plages sont accessibles à 10 min en scooter.
My et sa famille ont été très accueillant et adorables.
Le diner est tout aussi copieux que succulent (poisson incroyable) !

Pros:

L’accueil: My et sa famille sont d’une gentillesse extrême, toujours prêts à rendre service et à faire plaisir. Poisson du jour excellent ! Un pur bonheur! On reviendra, c’est sûr!
En plus, possibilité de louer un scooter, matériel de snorkeling,

Chambre pas très bien insonorisée.

De vibe van Cham heeft nu al het verlangen gewekt om terug te keren.
Pros:

De beheerder en haar familie waren meer dan gastvrij. Ze hielp ons met snorkelen en motorbike huren. Ze heeft ook een avond heerlijk gekookt voor ons.

Cons:

Het eiland is een magneet voor dagtoeristen die het onnodig druk maken. Er is gelukkig genoeg ruimte om je daar aan te onttrekken en te genieten van de schoonheid van Cham.

Pros:

Comfortable stay. Excellent view on the sea and islands

Cons:

The owner promised a boat excursion with snorkeling as a gift (we booked 2 rooms for 2 nights). But at chech out it turned out that we should pay for it.
We ask to help us to find our transfer boat and to help with our luggage at check out. But the staff have done nothing to help.

Lovely stay and location.
Pros:

It is basic. But i believe it's one of the best places on the island! We sleepy good. Aircon and an amazing view from our terrace. The family was lovely and helped us with everything. We will come back.

Cons:

Could use some fixing here and there for safety in the wood deck.
