Warm hospitality in a remote part of Donegal
Pros:

The journey to Gortahork took longer than expected, but staff called us and when we arrived, they made sure we still can get dinner. As it was Easter weekend, hotel was very busy feeding all the visitors, big family celebrations, but still they accommodated our late dinner booking. Very warm hosts. Good start point for outdoor activities.

Cons:

In case of bad weather not many options of indoor activities in the area...

Pros:

Lovely staff and dinner was good value. Good base for travelling around Donegal.

Cons:

Did not have hot water in shower two out of the four mornings I stayed. Did get it resolved and manager and staff were nice and helpful but it was a problem. No lift and just a general feeling of being quite a dated place.

Homely small hotel in a good location . Very good value for money
Pros:

Very comfortable and homely . Have been coming here for food for years and have stayed on a few occasions. It is a good location for exploring this beautiful area and staff are lovely .

Cons:

Service in restaurant a bit slow but it was Easter Sunday and very busy . Food however was very good when it came . Shower in room didn’t work but there was a bath
