Pay in advance or risk booking being automatically cancelled by 7pm if not yet arrived
Pros:

The hotel cancelled my booking automatically at 7pm because I had not yet arrived and did not have the option to pay in advance. I swapped my booking with my colleague and the room and facilities were nice. The hotel itself was modern with comfortable bed

Cons:

The hotels uses an automatic cancelling system that will cancel your booking of you have not paid in advance and have not arrived by 7pm. This time is too early to cancel a booking. We arrived later after a flight from Shanghai and the hotel was fully booked. Very stressful. Fortunately I swapped booking with a colleague who found a room elsewhere
