Nature's Retreat

Everything about this place was top notch. Tidy, new suites, spacious and nice bathroom facilities. Breakfast was generous and made with care. Helpful and kind hosts. Excellent value.

My son & I had a wonderful stay at Natures Retreat in Sri Lanka. The property truly lives up to its name, surrounded by nature in a quiet and calming setting that makes it perfect for relaxation.

From the moment we arrived, the staff ensured we were well looked after and that every requirement was catered to. They were incredibly warm and helpful, always happy to assist with any questions or arrange anything that was needed, whether it was local information or calling a tuk-tuk to take us into town; nothing was ever too much trouble.

Breakfast was top-notch, healthy, authentic, and beautifully presented. I especially appreciated that we were asked what time we would like breakfast served, and every morning it was delivered exactly on time, which made everything feel very personal & well organised.

Our room was spotless; the building felt new and thoughtfully designed. The tasteful wood furniture perfectly matched the natural surroundings, creating a warm & harmonious atmosphere. Everything was comfortable & peaceful which made us feel so relaxed.

Overall, this is a peaceful, well-run property with exceptional hospitality. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

I forgot to mention this accommodation is ideally located to explore Dambulla town & Lion's Rock, but far enough from the chaos of the town to retreat & relax.

This is a new and beautiful accommodation. The room had everything you could need, including air conditioning and a hairdryer. The location is stunning: right in the middle of nature and close to the Dambulla Cave Temple, Pidurangala, and Lion Rock.
The breakfast was generous and delicious, with the option to choose between Western or Sri Lankan style. The host Chamila was also very attentive and available for anything we needed.

Het personeel was fantastisch. We werden altijd begroet met een glimlach, er werd alles aan gedaan om aan onze wensen te voldoen en we voelden ons onderdeel van de familie. Het eten in het hotel is heerlijk! De bedden zijn comfortabel en de kamers heel erg schoon.

Pretty much everything . Rooms brand new staff extremely friendly and helpful. Delicious food.No complaints.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich mit Tee und Keksen empfangen. Das Frühstück war das beste auf unserer Reise (Sri Lanka style, Obst, Kaffee, Eier).
Die Betten sind sehr bequem und es ist recht ruhig. Absolut sauber!!
Die Gastgeber sind großartig und organisieren wirklich alles.

Colazione ottima e abbondante, i proprietari di casa sono davvero gentili e disponibili. Consiglio vivamente di cenare lì. Miglior kottu mangiato in Sri Lanka.

I really enjoyed everything about this hotel. The environment, food and people are all perfect. Would definitely come again if I have a second chance. Strongly recommend!

A well-maintained property run by a local family, offering a calm and clean environment. The breakfast and dinner are delicious, and they also arrange Tuk Tuk transportation. Keep up the great work!

Everyone here was really friendly and helpful, and wanted our stay to be perfect. Great location very close to the cave temple but a peaceful green oasis, we even saw fireflies. Early morning tuktuk ride to Sigiriya organised easily - this is a good base for both the Dambula and Sigiriya sites

Best shower we encountered anywhere in Sri Lanka, comfortable bed, good aircon.
