Relaxing by the pool.
Pros:

This is our third stay here this year and we will keep coming back as it is the perfect place to relax by the pool and unwind. The sunbeds are the cabana style day beds so nice and comfortable. The hotel is stylish and the rooms well equiped. The staff are helpful. The breakfast is great, as it was included in our stay we had an option of 3: tipico, omlette or fruit bowl. They offer pilates and yoga classes on certain days which are free for guests and really excellent - particularly the pilates. They are pet friendly.

Cons:

The hotel overlooks a road but you don't notice this when you are lying looking out at the ocean. It is surrounded by beautiful tropical foliage etc. For the price and comfort of the hotel this can be overlooked.

And first depression, it was a little questionable. But once we checked in and had a walk around, it is a fantastic place. The rooms are very nice comfortable great air-conditioning.

Cons:

The only negative I can say was the drive up to the property. Little sketchy cause you have to go up a steep hill and not sure which driveway to take.

Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und absolut toll! Schön eingerichtete Unterkunft mit großem Pool. Im Aussenbereich alles stehts sehr sauber. Angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Cons:

Das Dorm wurde nicht regelmäßig genug gereinigt. Die Lage ist auch nicht optimal.

Pros:

Beautiful space and really comfortable beds. I stayed in a dorm but there was no one else there. The pool and restaurant area is really nice. It has a view of the ocean but is not on the beach. I was able to walk to the beach (20 minuets) or you could take an uber for cheap if you don’t rent a car. This is an ideal place if you want to relax and be in peace and quiet. It was not very busy and the other closest restaurants would be in Zonte. I could see it becoming much busier in the future though.

A hostel with hotel luxury!
Pros:

This place was gorgeous and cozy with a great view. It was cooler there than the rest of town because it was elevated and the staff was so kind, friendly and always accommodating with every request. I stayed in the dorms and the AC was super cold, the beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with everything you might need. The yoga studio was gorgeous as well though I never made it to a class haha. The pool area was the social space and it was so nice because the heat was extreme. I met amazing people there who I wound up traveling with once we all left. It really was a very magical place. And locally owned as well! Happy to support a local entrepreneur.

Cons:

It was on the main road and very loud at times because of traffic. Though you can see the ocean, there is no ocean access and the main road is walkable but not really pedestrian friendly. Plus it’s too hot to walk at least during May when I was there. Despite this, Ubering into town is cheap and easy. Ubers are always available and usually within a 3 minute timeline.

Booked 5 days, stayed for 3 weeks!
Pros:

The property is set away from the town and so is very peaceful, the grounds are beautiful and you have a great view of the ocean over the pool. We stayed in both an apartment and dorms and both were great value for money. Particularly the dorms for everything that the hotel has. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. We ended up staying for 3 weeks. Very good breakfast, great cocktails and some good deals throughout the week on drinks. Free yoga and Pilates classes were amazing! It’s also possible to go to the classes at the sister hotel in el zonte Michanti.

Cons:

Nothing bad to say, the hotel is about 15/20 minutes from el zonte town walking but we combined walking, taxis and hitchhiking to get into town and back when we wanted to!
