Kaddy was the best host I could have ever asked for! She made me feel so welcome and she cooked so many delicious Gambian meals for me to try! I also got to meet some of her friends and family members who also live in the atea and are also very nice and helpful. The entire compound was very clean, and they also offer laundry if you need it. There is a lock on the compound gate, the front door to the house, and the bedroom. There is also a safe in the room for extra protection if you are worried. The bedroom was nice and spacious with a tv, mini fridge, dresser, and wardrobe. The bathroom is very clean with hot water and good water pressure. The compund is located in a quiet area but is also very close to Senegambia, so you have easy access to the restaurants and clubs in that area. It is also within walking distance to several beaches. If you prefer not to walk, it is also easy to get a taxi or tuktuk, you just have to walk up a few minutes towards Kololi road and there are many options for transportation. Some taxis will also come right to the gate if you call and request them. Overall, I would recommend KJ Rooms to anyone traveling to the Gambia, especially if you are a woman traveling alone. You will be very safe and well taken care of here at KJ Rooms!

De hygiëne en schoonmaak. 3x per week werd mijn kamer gepoetst en mijn beddengoed verschoond. Vriendelijk personeel (Aimy) . Mijn wasgoed werd goed behandeld en daags na de was netjes gevouwen teruggegeven.

Clean , very decent and quiet .

Our stay was truly enjoyable. Kaddy was an excellent host, always available, incredibly kind and very sweet – she made us feel at home right away and welcomed us with great warmth.
The room was very clean, spacious, and bright, and we really appreciated the small private terrace, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day.
The location is convenient and quiet, ideal for resting while still being close to the main points of interest in the area.

It was spacious and in a good. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating.

I stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. Everything was great. Felt so at home with Kaddy. She was attentive to all my needs. I was not well and she really helped me. And she is a fine cook! The house is beautiful and is in a quiet, safe, upscale neighborhood within walking distance to the main road with shops and restaurants. I know Gambia and this place is just great value and cannot be beat. The other guests were all repeats and had a special relationship w Kaddy. Just wonderful.
